near the end of the full LP he does reveal that to Liam it's just not here in this cut. he was purposefully keeping that a secret until the end. I dont know why, it doesnt add much to the original surprise. pat -may-be- is dumb but not THAT dumb.

Even though its not a great silent hill game, I adore this games ending and how it handled some psychological processes. I think its a great game in spite of the motion controls and one I wouldn't mind coming forward.

Ah, the last good silent hill game. I l9ve the ones that make the otherworld look different, things like downpours mechanical thing or that "leak" concept art with all the petals and sticky notes. This game did away with a lot of the cult stuff too, which I like. Same with 2, silent hill works best when its just about a town being a stephen king esque eldritch location that torments people with their regrets and failings. I think I would have made a silent hill story about someone who is a suicide. Obviously you don't find that out till the big reveal at the end, but there would be people in the town who each have someone/something they're either looking for, or hiding from, or missing... and what it turns out to be is that person is someone from the player characters life, and the thing is a representation of what the player character meant to them. One character could have lusted after them, so they're searching for a trophy they can never find. Someone hated them, so they're being chased by a monster that represents their disgust and hatred of them, so on and so on. Maybe the REAL twist is the player character killed themselves in some kind of ritual to trap the others in Silent Hill, and SHE is the one tormenting THEM all along. Maybe it would be shit in practice, but I don't think it would be the *worst* silent hill? That's a pretty low bar for me to pogo stick over.

@@normanred9212 But it's not. The only actual similarities this has with Until Dawn is snow and psychiatric sessions, and the psychiatric sessions are just used to make early game set pieces in Until Dawn whereas in Shattered Memories they're a core game mechanic to explore you and the characters.
