In growing up in the Philippines, in my old elementary school also combine the high school building. We as elementary students has the shitty bathroom where you had to trek a dark dank tunnel similar to Silent Hill just to use it. As you approach the bathroom, it as looks horrifying. Gunk, large flying cockroaches. It's mosaic tiles covered in reddish brown ichor. So we as second graders decided to sneak into the high school kids' bathroom so we don't have to use the hell bathroom. I'm also had trauma of shitty public bathrooms growing up.

i remember at my elementary school i had to go to the bathroom. So i open the door, lo and behold shit just all over toilet seat as if some kid just hovered his butt over and shat while he traced the toilet seat and a puddle of piss on the floor. i refused to go after seeing that, waiting until i got home.

The few times I've had to use the bathroom at my work I always have to put my work gloves on to open the door. The store has been open for just about a year but I refuse to touch that handle. I've thrown out more dripping trash bags than a serial killer and I'm still more grossed out by the thought of touching that bathroom door handle with my bare hands.

I remember one place I worked at had to have warnings issued by the managers because people had been caught pissing in the sinks; the stalls weren't even fully occupied, the dumb fucks just wanted to piss in a sink.
I've tried to use a bathroom with the lights out. Felt like I was breaking in just to take a dump in the middle of the night, weird as it sounds. That pitch black place with blind waiters sounds...weird.
Wait...if you have auto toilets and the power goes out....is your shit just stuck there until the power returns?
Public toilets are utterly depressing, but I find it the absolute worst when you use a work-based/basically private bathroom and people have still treated it terribly.. Like, do the people who fuck up a bathroom at work not ever stop to think OH FUCK I MIGHT HAVE TO USE THIS STALL AGAIN? But seriously; pissed seats, used paper all over the floor, shit clinging to the seat, one motherfucker who decided to take a shit on the lid, some fucktard who smeared shit across the wall and stall door and pressed it into the handle like he'd actually clawed the stuff out of his ass.. I've worked where I work for five and a half years and it's been the most anxiety-inducing period of my life, and good fucking god does the state of the bathroom not help sometimes.
