    Definitely! I wish I had experience with the Inzers myself to be able to compare. That is interesting that you don’t care for the Inzers, I know a lot of people really like them.. I personally have always used SBDs, but I will say that these don’t seem to be compromising on anything in order to get the improvements as far as feel and ease of use go, so overall I’m happy with the upgrade

    @@RodsStrengthTraining Thanks for the reply! My biggest issue with the Inzers was that I never managed to find a pair that felt like they fit perfectly. I don't know if they have a break in period or what, but they just never felt right to me (but I've been a longtime SBD user too, so I might just be used to that style of sleeve). From what I've heard these sound like a nice compromise between the base SBD sleeves while not being quite as stiff as the Inzers...so I'm probably gonna pick up a pair and give them a spin. Thanks again for the great video!

    I know plenty of people who did, some found SBDs more confortable and less constricting, but they are way less stiff. Of the hourglass shape sleeves inzers are defenetly the stiffer and then a7 is slightly behind. For the straight shape sleeves I havent personally tried any yet but some friends of mine did and told me that both Hansu and Titan are similar in stiffness to Inzers, if not slightly ahead. SBDs are way softer than any of the others, but some people like them anyways.

    For sure! I have never personally used the inzers myself, but I know that they have been a popular choice. I have a feeling that the newer more dense neoprene here in the SBDs would be at least similar to the inzers from why I heard. I would expect to SBDs to last for a while without structural issues (just from my experience with SBD quality in the past) which I have heard mixed reviews about from the inzer side of things, but of course I am also a bit biased for sure!

    Quick question, in the case that you can only pick one which would you recommend the snugger fit or the normal fit? because I do not want to purchase 2 pairs. i have a bad left knee due to dislocation so I was thinking a snugger fit but I wanted to get your input. and btw my knees go for about 16in and calf 17in which would be a 2xl but I was thinking of going small or medium. sorry for the lengthy message.

  • @RodsStrengthTraining

    Great question! I would personally go with the more snug fit, I did that for years when I would exclusively wear larges throughout all of my lifting as well. With your measurements I’m thinking mediums should be a solid choice with smalls potentially being too tough to get on to be worth it.. you’ll have to keep me posted on what you go with!

  • @RodsStrengthTraining

    @RodsStrengthTraining

    Жыл бұрын

    I would say that using the same size that you are with the originals is probably a good choice as long as you aren’t already wearing a super tight size. To me it feels like the new style is about a half of a size tighter than my originals in the same size if that makes sense. I size down considerably to larges though and the same size still worked for me so I’m thinking you’ll be good

    I am not sure which size of powerlifting knee sleeves to order. My measurements are 42-43cm (16,5 inches) around knees and 40,5cm (16 inches) around calf. I already have XL normal 7mm SBD knee sleeves (they are comfortable wearing it, but still a bit hard to put on around the thigh) and looking forward to buy L size SBD powerlifting knee sleeves for heavy lifts. How do these compare to the rigor mortis?

  • @RodsStrengthTraining

    @RodsStrengthTraining

    Жыл бұрын

    Great question, so I have no personal experience with the rigor mortis sleeves, but from what I have heard they are both made of a similar more dense neoprene than the prior generation of neoprene. The SBDs do have a different outer fabric casing by the looks of it compared to the rigor mortis which seem to have a covering more like the original SBDs and the SBD style sleeves in general have the seam construction that wraps around the knee whereas I believe the rigor mortis is a straight seam construction. Little differences for sure, but I am sure both are solid sleeve choices. In my experience, SBD has the most solid quality of construction of any of the powerlifting companies too but just know that I am a little biased to them haha

    I wish I could answer that better.. I have no experience with the Inzer sleeves myself so I can directly compare to them. I would imagine they are similar because they are made from similar more dense neoprene, but I know there are shape differences between the two and personally I have a better experience with durability for SBD products in the past. Hopefully that helps, thanks for watching!

    Greater "surface area compression" is code for cheaper neoprene that stretches and can still be profitable. Inzer is double the weight and speaks to the density of the material and not an arbitrary product markup. SBD quality feel off 5+ years ago when they changed the formula and all the colored sleeves feel like socks. Everybody scared to wear Inzer because of fanboying hard for SBD. Inzer for meaty legs/calves Iron Rebel for chicken legs SBD if you like stretchy and less stopping power.

    I appreciate your input, but I am curious, have you ordered, received and tried the new sleeves that SBD just released that I’m talking about here? If not then I’m afraid the input must be discounted just like my input on any other sleeves must be discounted as well because I’ve only used SBD

  • @maxbuc1

    @maxbuc1

    Inzer are not double the weight, they are somewhat 1.5 heavier, or so. This is true looking to S size vs S size (I have both). Inzers S are much larger than SBD S, so if we estimate the actual SBD weight / volume and compare the actual Inzer weight / volume it comes out that Inzer are about 20% denser, which is more, but definitely not crazy higher. I can squat approximately the same weight with either, but I ultimately preferred SBD for general feeling and control into the hole.
