SBC990 Suction Blast Cabinet v PSBC990 Pressure Blast Cabinet

I have done this demo to show the difference between the Suction Cabinet and the Pressure Pot Cabinet. We have these available on our website www.sandblasters.co.uk. We are now happy to offer the Pressure Cabinet with Dual Extractors which are side fitted instead of rear mounted.

Hi Martyn, excellent demo, I'm waiting for one of your cabinets to come in but when it does could I use a sand blasting pot for this purpose, is there any given size too big or small for this requirement? Do you have a page you could direct me to in order to set all of this up from scratch?

Hi Jody. The factory dont recommend converting a suction cabinet to pressure as they are not built to take the added pressure.

I have this same cabinet from Allsource.. Im thinking about taking the pot off it and converting it to a siphon system.. theres no way I can find a reasonable compressor to push 30cfm without buying a 4k rotary screw.. Is there a email I can contact you to ask your opion this conversion..

@@Sandblasters silly question but to up the psi do you need to get larger air lines?? I have have no valve to adjust my psi on my cabinet or anywhere else. Im using standard workshop styles airlines to run all my setup. Im new to the business and just trying to get the best from my compressor and cabinet. Currently running 37cfm comoressor with guyson cabinet with 6mm nozzle but only blasting at 60psi? Any ideas?? Thanks

Hi Tony, changing airlines won't make any difference to psi only to the air flow. Ideally you want a 13mm inside diameter as a minimum to give plenty of air flow. Small airlines tend to restrict the air. As for blasting pressure 60 to 80psi is ideal usually. If you blast to high a pressure you are just smashing your media on impact, causing lots of dust and costing you money. Hope this helps Martyn

It still requires a lot of air Joris, you want a compressor with at least 30CFM, bigger if possible
