Pablo: Why us? Let me answer that for you pinuno.. There are so many reasons but these are on top of my head 1. Each and everyone of you are not just talented individuals but we can also see how passionate you all are with your craft. Very hands-on with your work 2. You guys truly represent the Filipino people -- resilient, hard-working, warm & welcoming, family-oriented and great LIVE vocalist/singers! 3. You are all very generous to your fans, maybe thats also the reason why A'tin are very understanding when it comes your need for personal time and privacy. 4. You are humble enough to admit that there will always be room for improvement and you always strive to outdo your last performance. 5. You strive to always choose to be kind -- and ask your fans to do the same.

*the way they are prideful of their being Filipino and the way they never muted their Filipino identity as they try to introduce opm to the global music scene...AUTHENTICITY, this is why we love SB19.* *P. S. if you look into the context and entirety of my comment would you take the word prideful as something negative? i deliberately did not use the phrase "proud of being Filipino" because i believe that SB19 are BEYOND proud of their roots, they are prideful not because they are arrogant, hindi po, prideful po sila dahil hindi lang nila ipinagmamalaki ang pagiging Filipino nila kundi IPINAGMAMAYABANG talaga ng SB19 na sila ay mga Filipino artists at bitbit nila ang musika at kulturang Filipino saan mang sulok ng mundo sila mapadpad, no matter what others may think or even if others may put them down.*

Pablo really has almost the same style in songwriting like Taylor Swift. They really come up with good lyrics no matter how short or long the time is. Also the music thing where he hears something and he comes up with a melody is really like Taylor maybe that is the reason why he is my bias besides Ken because of their similarities in writing

  • @user-ut6ok5ue7l

Watching this now…. Made me realized that Ken/Felip (his name when doing solo), and Josh are silent artists in the making this time they are being interviewed. Ken came out with “Palayo” and “Bulan” Soon after. Josh also came out with “Wild Tonight”, “Pakiusap Lang”, and “Sofa”. This young men are really exceptionally talented. To this day, most A’tin are waiting for Stell solo, and Justin’s more creative endeavors. There’s no denying Pablo’s genius. #SB19 songs are testaments to his artistry. Praying for their continued success. Praying that they will not compromise who they are inside for fame and fortune. All the best to them!

Not really into Pop groups before, but the table has turned. This is the very first time I'm supporting a boy group, and knowing that it's our own (Philippines). I've just discovered how really passionate & talented they are in terms of live performing, writing and creating their own songs and music videos, and even making their choreography. They conceptualize whatever they release in their channel or album so they can offer us a better production. They're all in sync in terms of vocals, it's like they were born ready to be the best in everything! That is why I regret not trying to watch them before, really felt a bit late not trying to get to know them first and also wasn't able to witness their humble beginnings. Not knowing that they even filmed their WYAT MV near in my workplace because I wasn't yet a fan of them that time. Now, I just always walk in front of that Filling Station in Makati to be inspired before going to work, just knowing that they've been there once really helps me a lot. Now, I really promise to support these humble kings even in the future. They deserve World domination! Thank you Zach Sang Show for inviting SB19.

How do we define P-pop or Pinoy pop? EASY. What makes American pop American and British pop British is the same logic that makes P-pop Filipino. Whatever the artist brings with him- his schema, his culture, his language, his philosophy- when a Filipino artist fuses them together to create an expression of human emotions whether that intends to appeal to "universal" (or collective consciousness) or highly personal themes, you have Filipino music. Since there is no culture that exists in a vacuum, definitely the definition of Filipino will include various influences- Korean, Chinese, Japanese, American, British, Australian, etc. I don't know why bashers would call Korean influence as the "inauthentic" aspect of SB19 when it's clear that Filipino audiences and social media acknowledge the influence, allowing K-pop music and drama to become part of mainstream Philippine entertainment. It's unrealistic to define any pop music as "pure" by weeding out influences- that's being absolutely ignorant of the synergy behind the evolution of music in the world. There's no reason to "purge" these influences to come up with a pure, untainted concept of Filipino- because there's no existence that's "pure" and "untainted" to begin with. The best musicians in the world are those who were able to reinvent what's already there by coming up with fusions that have the potential to transform the identity of the original concept into something "fresh" and relevant to the times (hence we have 80's pop music, 90's pop music, and so forth and so on). If nothing else, P-pop is exactly what it is because it's RELEVANT. It never ceases to experiment with prevailing trends. It's not afraid to come up with its own expression, its own language, its own symbolism, its own INNOVATION. And it's not just the style that makes SB19's music different from any music that currently exists (see "What" and "Bazinga"- they're DIFFERENT from punk pop, grunge, hip-hop, etc). It's the DASEIN (way of being in the world) that's infused with cultural themes and sentiments fitted into a BEAT, a MELODY, a PROGRESSION that, I think, makes P-pop a VARIETY that deserves to be heard. 😇

@@CRIS-un6ir I think they might have started from an "idol template," but they almost immediately detoured from that, thus emerging as a fresh new act. And I believe it's their Filipino-ness that refuses the label "idol." "Idol" just has a toxic, military ring to it. Just to be clear, I have nothing against K-Pop but K-stans like me do know how toxic the idol system is. And Filipino artists are just not made from that. As lovers and revolutionaries, Filipino artists are fun (and funny), collaborative, rebellious (and maangas), outgoing, friendly, playful (mej maharot), astig--nothing that exactly fits the idol mold of being disciplined, competitive, perfectionist (and perfect-looking). And I think that's what will shine through SB19. Soon, I pray, international fans will get it: they are no idol group. They are Filipino artists. And I really pray that the world will start to truly appreciate our artists *as artists* rather than as fleeting internet sensations. I'm so excited for SB19 and other Filipino artists. 💙

Why do we love SB19? Aside from the fact that they are crazy talented artists: 1. They’re genuine. What you see is what you get. No inhibitions. 2. They’re passionate about their craft. They’re not just performing to earn money. They’d rather put more of their own money to their music videos to make a better one than saving up to build their dream house. 3. They love their country. From the very start, one of their main goals is to make PH’s economy much better. 4. They love their supporters. They always thank us and remind us that all the achievements they get are all because of A’tin. They treat their supporters as family and not just mere fans. They wear the gifts that we give them. They give importance to us. 5. They’re not greedy. They even tell the whole fandom to support other PPop groups and to always choose to be kind. If those are not good enough to support them, then you’re missing out.

Regarding #5, SB19 do remind their fandom all the time to support other Pinoy groups, but I've read comments, from one of the videos I watched, that SB19 fandom is toxic because they don't want their PPop kings dethroned. That puts SB19 in a bad light, considering they are the ones who keep reminding A'tin to support and be proud of other Pinoy groups as well. I just hope all SB19 followers listen to them and heed their advice. I've just started watching all SB19 videos a couple of weeks ago, and this was because of Gento. Hurts me to hear anyone calling A'tin toxic 😢 I mean, like, excuse meeee? From what I've experienced so far, A'tins may be obsessed with SB19, but I've never read any of them being toxic or rude, or disrespectful.

I concluded, BTS/ KPOP are excellent out this world dancers but weaker singers while on the other hand SB 19 are excellent/ awesome singers but weaker in dancing performance. That was last year. I saw them on FOX good morning show and was happily surprised they have improved immensely with their dancing! In fact, i have seen clips of their concerts here in the US and so impressed with the showmanship.
