They are PPOP group in the Philippines. They are not an ordinary group. The creative director of the MV is the youngest member JUSTIN. The writer and one of the producer of the music is the leader PABLO. The one of the choreographer is STELL. KEN and JOSH also help in the MV. They multi talented boys!

They're from the Philippines, Some Fact- is that Spaniards occupied the Philippines for more than 300 years back then, It started it when Ferdinand Magellan came here in the Philippines on 1521. That's why their is an influence of Spanish in our language. But our Official language is Filipino, 2nd Language is English.

personally, most of us people of the Philippine Islands have a mothertongue as a first language (so that should be acknowledged).. and second and third can be either Filipino (which is a standardized version of Tagalog, the language of NCR region) or english (the international language)...Language literacy, especially about local languages, is on the rise since ppop had these groups ("leveled-up")...My only concern is that it's future could not be smooth sailing...but again, the best song has not been written yet... I can't wait for that!! Ps. to the youtuber: Thanks for sharing your view on this, it really helped!

They're from the Philippines, the official languages are Filipino (Standardized version of Tagalog) and English. The Philippines was colonized by the Spaniards for 300 years, hence the language influence. A third of the Filipino language is derived from Spanish words. You can listen/watch Go Up and Alab. Those songs are more on the pop-ish side. They also have ballads if you want to check out their vocals, search for Tilaluha and Hanggang sa Huli.

They were not bound on the beauty and glitters of what is required now a days in the entertainment industry. They have flaws, insecurities, and fair share of downs in their life, but they were not afraid to share it and be candid about these. @@jiafei_products7085 what i know as a chavacano speaker, we usually understand that our language is a local dialect since dialects are usually known as words/phrase that is derived from another major language. since the words in chavacano are less modified from spanish so we consider it as dialect instead of a language. haha tagalog is a language, on some regions they also speak tagalog but slightly modified in grammar like instead of kumain they would say "nakain" making it as a dialect instead of a language. but yeah, i would accept if you insist chavacano is a language tho. although, here in zamboanga we rly consider chavacano as local dialect only haha

Filipino and tagalog are both languages. Tagalog is the native language ng mga tao sa provinces of Luzon. and bcause the capital of the country is located sa luzon, tagalog was then declared as the official language of the PH. Tapos, Filipino language was just recognized after tagalog making Filipino language an official language on PH schools/universities, Filipino language is still base on tagalog language but "improved". Ang alam ko, TAGALOG have 20 alphabets while Filipino have 28 including letters F. X, etc from english alphabet. On university here, we are thought of this basic stuffs since we majored on english and origin of languages. And oo, hindi lang iisa language ng Pinas. haha

Hello SEAN STAXX! Thank you fro doing a RV of SB19"s EPIC Comeback MV, the Extended Version of "WHAT?" & the Good points that you liked in the MV. RE: Understanding any Song sang in Foreign Language will depend on the Accuracy of the English Translations. In this MV, the English Translations are LEGIT so you should be able to understand them if you took the time to do so, since it seems that English is your Native Tongue PILIIPINO or TAGALOG is the National Language of the Philippines. 2nd to that will be 1 of the 180 DIALECTS of the Provinces in the various Regions of the 7,640 ISLANDS. Therefore, the 2nd National Language in the Philippines is ENGLISH since 86% of FILIPINOS speak ENGLISH. The Spanish words come from the 400 years Spain Colonized the Country & the Vowels: a, e, i, o, & u are pronounced exactly the same in both Tagalog & in Spanish. You may Expect some ORIGINAL Filipino Written ENGLISH Songs from Filipinos Music Artists but Please do be OPEN to accept that the Tagalog Language will often be used since the Philippines National Music Industry known as O.P.M. => Original Pinoy (Philippine) Music, must have it's Rightful International Representation & Global Acceptance & Recognition, just like Songs written in English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Russian, etc.. Though SB19 are the courageous Trailblazers of & Kings of P-POP (Philippine or Pinoy-POP), their Vocal Talents are not exclusive to Pop Music, Rap, HipHop, Soft Rock but they are the only Boy Group who excel as Individual Ballad Singers & have amazing, perfect Group Harmonies. **You said you want to hear them sing a song that does not need to be Understood but just Enjoyed (All there Original songs have DEEP Meanings & Messages though) then PLEASE do a RV of: SB19 Performs GO UP LIVE on Wish 107.5 Bus (No Dancing) OR SB19 -GO UP Live on MYX (Both Singing & Dancing) OR SB19 GO UP MV. GO UP is the "Story of SB19". Thank you for your time. Hope to see you on your Next SB19 RV.

Meaning of "WHAT?” with how each of them represented in the MV and the mood film: W - Workers. Josh here is in corporate worker attire. Some people working as employees suffer from being treated as pawns, and the employees themselves are used to turning a blind eye to things (not only at work, but in society as a whole) because if they do, they suffer from retaliation. They have long been taught to keep their heads down. This is represented by the iron maiden which used to be a symbol of oppression since it was used to scare people back in the day. H - not really "H" but the inequality sign "≠". Stell was a farmer here, and most farmers in the PH are treated unfairly. They are never paid enough and they suffer when their yield is negatively affected by droughts, storms and pests...and they STILL have to work because they feed the whole country. A - Artist. Justin is an artist. He has a degree on it. He loves art and he's very creative. But especially in the Philippines which is a very practical country, artists don't often get the opportunity to realize their creations or even be recognized for it. T - Trash. Ken is sitting on his own throne made of trash. It represents the mistakes people make in their lives. But Ken here is saying that he owns to his own mistakes and shit and learns from them. This is what built his throne--essentially, owning and learning from his mistakes led him to his success today. And it might not be a pretty throne, but all that trash made him into what he is today--a king, no less. ? - this is a question of identity and of conviction. What do you fight for? What are you proud of? Will you go along with peoples’ obnoxious expectations of you or will you stay true to yourself? What defines you? Who defines you? These were probably the questions in Pablo's mind that led to the creation of this whole song. In the MV, Pablo was in a race track in the middle of the night. His first 2 lines in the song says it all: Nagsimula lang pero wala na 'kong balak na tapusin. Di ibig sabihin pag di tinapos ako'y hihinto na rin. (I started but now I got no intentions to finish. Just 'coz I won't finish it, doesn't mean I'll stop.) This is Pablo starting the race, but not finishing it. But he doesn't stop and restarts the race instead. It's like how we get to a standstill in life, so we choose to restart instead of stopping and giving up. This might also be referencing to how he changed his name: he doesn't intend to finish what he started as "Sejun" but it doesn't mean he'll stop, so he scrapped it and starts again as "Pablo" instead. There is a whole story behind this involving bashers who kept criticizing him, saying his style is not KPop enough, but then those same bashers also said that they are too KPop to represent the PH. I know, it's obnoxious. You just cannot please these people so what can you do about it? The best thing to do is just ignore those idiots and be proud of who you are and what you do. You just continue on with what you believe in. Sounds familiar? Yes, it's the song. This is probably how the song's creation started. Pablo really was going through a rough time here. (ctto)

Tnx for reacting to SB19'S What? .It has many genre because SB19 wants to show their individuality. The lyrics is written a poetic /metaphorical way.. Some wouldn't understand the meaning fully if they don't dig deeper. Yeah, some words are like spanish coz Philippines was colonized by Spain for 333 years...

Thank for honestly reacting to #SB19! Their hard to put in a genre because they do many types of music well. The production is done by Simon Servida and he’s made a vlog on Servida Music, and how to collaborate with Pablo, the leader. What? is a song for everyone. You can do good, even if you’re not the best, if you only believe you can make a mark. That’s the main message. They have 2 interviews that let you know them better: the Korea Times interview when they went viral and the Parcinq magazine interview when lockdowns were eased up last year. Subbed! 💙💙💙
