@@marsyeeel4239 true, and it's disheartening. Honestly, I've been waiting for our own Pop songs to blow up since 2010. I dreamed of dancing to songs in FILIPINO (tho I'm not a dancer). Dreamed of singing our hearts out in FILIPINO. Dreamed that one day we'll have our own boy and girl bands that will break the conventionalities of group musicians. I dreamed o hearing FILIPINO songs in different genre hitting all our hearts. I'm 23 now and I'm happy that gradually we're getting there. I'm a fan of Ben and Ben, IVOS and a lot more music artists in the country but we need to have the variety of music. So sana respetuhin ng iba ang ano Mang klase ng genre ang lumalabas ngayon sa atin.

@@mealegg330 actually, never did I expected na yung palaisipan ko lang dati na sana mayroon tayo sana someday na maipangtapat sa international music, like for example kpop (since it's very getting popular that time), was made reality specifically by SB19. Kaya sobrang tuwang tuwa talaga ako nong napanood ko yung Go Up MV nila. Di rin kasi ako mahilig mag yt dati. I only visit here just to dl songs. I also was never a fan of vloggers kahit umuusbong na noon. Pero simula nang maging A'tin ako, tambay na ako lagi dito. No regrets. Pero minsan sobrang impatient ko to the point na gusto kong magka-magical powers to bring the views up and make everybody hear this song. But things doesn't work that way. I mean the main point talaga is if only people would give at least a bit time to appreciate the artists and their songs.

agree. besides the nomination was more of a popularity vote. that was really an impossible feat to achieve for now. what I am grateful for is now at least they have been heard and a lot of people are actually curious about them. we just have to support our boys and continue on spreading their music to others. they are really special. :)

I told one of my friends that the meaning of songs is different depending on what life context you are currently in. When this song came out, it was during the pandemic. It encapsulated the purest intentions of our hearts that yearned to give gratitude to our parents, especially since it was the difficult times wherein the elderly were most susceptible to succumbing to the virus. The meaning of the song also depicts a long-distance relationship between parents and children separated for economic purposes, but the deep desire to be together as a family still is focal. And now that this was sung in The First Take, it evolved into a more jovial and optimistic style that depicted a child that has already come a long way in giving back gratitude to parents. It's just mesmerizing how amazing this song is. To SB19, you are exceptional and such a legend indeed. This generation's pride and treasure.

Living in America slowly killed that “family oriented” tradition in a filipino household in me.. I’ve read my past tweets nung nasa pilipinas ako and isa dun is “One day I will earn money and bibilhin lahat ng gusto ng parents ko” Di ko napansin na unti-unti ko na pala nakakalimutan yung mga old promises and dreams ko for my parents (especially my mom) and was too focused na makapag ipon so I can move out and live my own life. Sa totoo lang naiyak ako habang pinapakinggan ko yung kanta.. how did I become like this, I became selfish and I’m finally with my mom dito sa US after so many years of waiting sa pag petition and now I wanna move out and be away with her? I’m sorry Mama, I’m sorry for letting my environment and the ideology of american life get into me and thank you SB19 ❤️ this is a wake up call for me. This time gagawin ko ang lahat Ma para guminhawa ang buhay mo, I want you to no longer work and deal with rude costumers everyday of your life. Ako po ang bahala sayo, just give me time na makapag college ako and have a job with a bigger paycheck. I will focus more on career and give back all the things you deserve for raising me

idk if you guys remember the trivia. MAPA was actually written by pablo with stell while naglalaba at nagluluto. ngayon 100M VIEWS na! no'ng panahon na nahomesick si pinuno and out of nowhere tinanong ni pau si stell kung ano gusto niya sabihin sa parents niya.

I discovered SB19 last year thru Gento and then started listening to all their other songs and then I heard Mapa.. I bawled my eyes out the first time I listened to MaPa. I'm away from my family so it triggered fond memories and yearning to see them again. I started watching YT reactors and cried with them all over again. There are songs you can dedicate to your loved ones but MaPa is specially and intentionally created for those people who have played the role as parents in our lives. This can be lined up with other high qualitu classic OPM songs.

I hope this song gives us all the courage to tell our parents that we love them and how much they mean to us. As someone na hindi talaga vocal pagdating sa parents ko, this song made me realize that I should make the most out of the time na kasama sila. We are so busy with our lives na hindi na natin napapansin na they are also growing older and older each day. We never know na baka they'll leave us at the most unexpected time. Kaya I hope na before this day ends, we can all tell our parents kahit yung simpleng "Thank you Ma,Pa" or "I love you Ma, Pa", or just a simple hug. Let's not waste moments with them. Let us all make a life well-lived with our parents without any regrets.

I'm so happy that SB19 chose mapa to be their second song on The First Take. Man, there's a reason it reached 100M even though it's only a lyric video. It's because it touches everyone's heart regardless of gender, age, race or language.
