Sayyida al-Hurra [First Islamic pirate queen]
Born in the Kingdom of Granada, the last Muslim ruled state in Spain, her family moved to Morocco after the fall of the empire in the year 1492.
The city of Tétouan in northern Morroco which Sayyida ruled was first settled around the 3rd century, but had been destroyed earlier in the 15th century by the Castilians. Sayyida, along with her first husband, rebuilt the city after the Reconquista refugees received permission from the sultan of Morroco to settle and fortify the area. Following the death of her husband in 1515, Sayyida became the last person in Islamic history to legitimately hold the title of al Hurra (the Queen).
She is also known as Hakima Tatwan, meaning Governor of Tetouan.

Everyone is free to choose own words. I think "Islamic Pirate Queen" is a wrong word and you call her "Muslim Pirate Queen". Piracy is illegitimate in Islam.

SHE and Barbarrosa arent pirates. They promoved the corsairs activitys; its no the same. Pirates anbd corsars arent differents

Al Hurra means Queen in the Klingon language.
Barbarossa was not Pirate rather Admiral of Ottoman Navy
AL HURRA الحرة MEANS THE FREE... Al malek الملك means the king.. Al maleka الملكة means queen!
