I've been a Swiftie girl for quite a while. When I see people start to defend Taylor for any comment against her, no matter how reasoned it may be, no matter how well-argued and well-done it may be, my blood boils with fury. I myself sometimes reflect on the criticism I receive about my tastes; They make me have a mental debate, but it seems that people in general and in particular these types of people do not have that concept in mind. I understand that you stand up for the things you love, but there's a thirty-foot-thick wall between standing up for it respectfully and being toxic. I'm not just saying it in this case, but especially in this case.

I am generalizing a lot, because I understand that not all people are like that, but I see a lot of radicalism in people in real life AND on the internet, more so in fandoms. If you make constructive criticism about something you like, but you point out one or two defects, all the people who like that (I repeat, generalizing a lot), who defend it tooth and nail, are going to jump on you, criticizing as if their lives depended on it. I repeat, generalizing a lot. But it is a sad silenced truth. Postscript: You didn't even say anything disrespectful or insult her, you just said 'I don't like Taylor Swift.'
