I am so sorry to hear that! It is something we are not ready to hear! Four months ago today we lost our Jery to cancer as well. We had to let him go to East the pain and the suffering. It has been hard all these months, but his beautiful memories are helping me tears of grief with happiness! I know you will miss her terribly, but know that there is a huge community here supporting each other!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am so sorry for your loss. I too, know the agony you must be going through. I lost my sweet husky Rhea last Sept and still feel the pain every day. She was only 5-1/2 years old. Since her crossing, I tell her brother Retro every day that I will make today his best day. I no longer take them (him) for granted and give him as much attention and love as I can. Give your other pups extra attention, attention you would have given Misty! Just like I have! One day, in time, you will be reunited as Rhea and I will,,,, God bless....

I’m so sorry 😢. I know how difficult it is caring for a terminally ill pet. Saying goodbye is heartbreaking. What a beauty Misty was. RIP sweet girl 😞 💔

Sorry for your loss. We lost two dogs (our only two at the time) during Covid to both old age and cancer. And, it was hard, very hard. But, they both lived very good lives. One passed real quick, and we didn't have time to get her any type of intervention. ANd, the other got sick and went from normal dog to very, very sick in less than 7 days. And, with her, there was no intervention possible for her, because she had cancer that had spread everywhere. And, yes, we took both of them to annual check-ups, but they were PERFECTLY HEALTHY so it's easy for doctors to overlook any signs of cancer. So, know that you are not alone in grieving. To this day, I still grieve my childhood dog and all the other Pupsters that have made my life great. But, after losing Cocoa and Oreo, we got 2 shelter dogs that were sisters, and we saved them on the very last day before they would have to euthanize them, because they overstayed their welcome at the shelter. But, we saved them -- just in time. Just don't stop loving Puppers because of this loss. That's what is always hard for people to remember. They need us just like we need them.

Sadly our dogs dont live as long as we do. But they enrich our lives in so many ways even though the grief we feel on their passing is unbearable. My condolences on your loss

I to recently lost my family pet of 15 years. Our Pug Riley has a tumor growing inside and at his age surgery would of killed him so they told us he was in no pain but to watch him and told us what to look for.. on the night he passed he was sitting on my lap as he always did while I stroked his back but he stopped responding to me. He was breathing but not moving so we knew his time had come so my daughter who raised him since he was a pup picked him up and cuddled him in her arms and when she did that he picked his head up and looked right up into her face as to say don’t cry I must leave you now and after a few minutes he was gone.. the pain and sorrow is unbearable at times but I truly believe all our pets are now in heaven healthy happy and young again waiting for us to join them one day when the good Lord calls us home to be with him in heaven and this gives me peace knowing this.
