It sounded like an invisible trumpet but the finger positions gave away that she had cleverly swapped it out for an invisible saxophone when we were looking. I think it was an invisible straight alto sax specifically, but being invisible, it was hard to see. 🙂

My take is that this is a tribute to Gunhild Carling and she is actually playing two air trumpets simultaneously. But the two instruments blend so seamlessly as to become one.

CLEARLY we had NO fun filming this with each other…… 😉😉💗💗 love my PMJ girls!!!!!

As a musician myself, I know how much work goes into a production like this, yet the happiness and joy of the cast entertaining our audience really shone through as you brought us a little over two hours of pure joy ❣ Thank you SO MUCH ❣❣ P.S. Drummer is/was from Fresno? Whodathunk. . . but then again, it's Audra McDonald's hometown, too!

Really wonderful! Most non-musicians will not realize how difficult it is to achieve such a high-quality music and arrangment, and the sheer skill it requires to make it sound so simple and accessible. Congrats to everyone involved!

Yes, as a very ordinary amateur musician myself, I know just how hard it is to achieve this level of performance and make it seem easy - it is not!

Not only was the music and costuming at the usual amazing levels that PMJ is known for, but kudos on the choreography! Managing all that AND singing with precision with three performers through one long take is fantastic!

I love these vocal harmonies!

"Say you'll be there" is one of my favorite songs of Spice Girls. This PMJ is by far the best [retro]New version ever. Ever! 🎉

The Vintage Style Spice Girls covers are some of my favourites on the channel. They’re such natural fit for each other. Moar of them, please!!

there is so much talent packed into this 3 minutes and 36 seconds it is mind-boggling!! omg! the genius. the fun. the skill. the madness. thank you again Scott Bradlee and postmodern jukebox for giving me such joys and delights. the pmj "wannabe" is the song that was my first pmj obsession. It was on repeat in my apartment for many many months, and it caused me explore the rest of the pmj catalogue-which was just thrill after thrill. thank you to all involved over the years. "say you'll be there" is destined to become my latest music obsession, and I couldn't be happier.

@@postmodernjukebox - Wonderful arrangement, thoroughly enjoyed it - especially throwing in the key change ❣I'm having a little trouble picking out who's singing which part when the girls are harmonizing, but I think it's Tawanda on top singing lead, Tatum singing middle harmony, and Kyndle singing the lower harmony. I also think that Tatum and Kyndle may switch between upper and lower harmony in certain spots. . . Am I even close?

@@RustySax1949 No, I think Tawanda is the one singing the lower harmony, at least for most of the beginning and end of the song, Kyndle is singing the middle harmony, while Tatum sings the high harmony.

I do love the Spice Girls covers. They always work!

I love how you made the song fit perfectly into the musical style, with the parts like "will it ever end?" and "who knew, who knew? not me!" etc. without changing the essence of the song's focus lyrically. This just worked so dang well, and idk why I'm even surprised anymore. 'Cause every time I am doubtful or uncertain y'all can pull it off, you come through with another hit!

That drum part written so precisely and the drummer reading so carefully. Really nice work catching the accents and supporting the rhythm of the vocalists.
