OG, I'm in Qatar now and I suggest Sammy should rather focus on the work he is doing now rather than coming to Qatar to work as a construction labourer, it will not help him because the construction companies here are sending most of the labourers back to their country because of lack of work mostly the Africans

There's competition between Asians and Africans, and they are always preferred. I have seen people arriving at Kotoka from the Gulf with only a knapsack on their backs. They came home with nothing

There was one particular incident that caught my attention, and I don't think I would ever forget. When the plane from the Gulf Area landed, there were lots of young men on board. They came virtually empty-handed. There was an older man, probably in his 50s, hair greyed. He had an eye injury, and I believe it was sustained on a construction site. They just sent home with nothing. Even the wound was not treated, they only put an eye patch on it, and it was soaked with blood and pus. All that this man could do was weep and lament; "d3n amani3 na me kobor wo fie, me de me nsa pan, m3 de d3m". My heart was broken, and I always use that to advise people to stay away from the Gulf Region.
