They both work very well If you want a sweeter sound, go with the V16 A7S+ If you want a little more bite, go with the Jumbo Java A45 Both of them work well for ballads and more agressive playing

what do you think, which one is better for jazz? but i play all my life on yamaha custom c4

i have both these mouth pieces but for tenor. They are not at all comparable. The Jumbo java is for cutting through when in a section or not mic'd up ; The sound in the higher notes is thin and in general it is very bright. The v16 is a lot more versatile and and the sound is more even over the whole range; The higher notes are rounder and in general the sound is warmer. If you want a good quality sound over the whole instrument go for the v16. If you want all out power and projection the jumbo java is a killer....be careful it is way overkill in most situations. I use the v16 80% of the time. Both mouth pieces have a lot of edge if you need it. I have an otto link metal for jazz ensembles and big bands...the sound smoother and rounder and....softer....

bought Jumbo A45 right after, so much projection and sounds so much brighter great for solo playing

V16 S+ is much warm and core sound. Jumbo Java is greater in this song. But I love V16 s+ more.

i normally use the vandoren ZZ reeds size 3. I just recently bought the Jumbo A45, do you think i should still use a 3 or go down to a 2.5 or lower

The jumbo its harder to play i had the same problem, try practicing long notes with it and lower your reed, i had to go from 3 to 2 1/2. The V16 its easier to play than a45.

I never tried an A55. As mentioned in the video I'm using an A35 and tried an A45, but I prefer the A35 for me.

Hello Jose, Selmer C80 that is a mouthpiece for classical music, so completely different. But it's worth trying out.

For what it.s worth, I preferred the smoother sound of the v16.

Were you using Java green or red box?

Hello, I use Vandoren Java Green.

Which reed did you use? I see many people go with the java red when using the s+ piece. Jumbo is definitely a lot better when going lead for big jazz solos, but I assume it also comes with a higher difficulty curve to master, in comparison to the s+.

The jumbo Java is better for this song but the v16 s+ is better all around

They have their own uses but a45 is best for this song.. Euuropa!
