Isn't it amazing(not surprising ) that Sawyer would write a song while he was on the voice? He Identifies with his surroundings, then sings about it. A professional....An artist...An treasure.

Can't help but feel this song is describing the life he has now. I wonder if he is satisfied with the way this whole thing has unfolded. Wonder if there is anything he would change. "My family is so far away, they'll never find me".....at least I've found my window...I surely hope so. He has come so far and there is nothing he can't do with his songs...Love this young man!

He started writing it while he was on the Voice so I think it came from the stress of being on the show, but now he can split his time between touring and being at home so I think it's easier for him. He's more in control of his own fate now.

He's said many times that the events of the last year have been a blessing. I think it was just a huge shock for a farm boy, who'd been leading a simple life, to be thrown into the deep end of the entertainment industry pool. He seems to be swimming now.

Wow, such a powerful song, and Sawyer's vocals are so very moving. I watch this video every day. There's just something about it that pulls me back. I downloaded "A Good Storm," his latest released album. What a fantastic original singer songwriter he is.

I'm stuck for words. What Sawyer can do through his lyrics and voice is almost undescribable. Brilliance is foremost in my mind as I listen. (I've just had his new album shipped to me in CD format. Can't wait to pick it up at post office)

He "is" the music, and so much emotion. I feel an affinity to his music and it's inspiring. I hope that the lyrics I write give as much imagery and storytelling. And on top of that he has a beautiful powerful world-class voice. He seems to cuddle his guitar :) heehee.

Randy Gardner It's because he's been doing this for a long time. He sang in front of ppl for a few years singing his own songs. This and some inner confidence he has gives him that 'unafraid to be himself'. I just knew he had to win when I saw his blind audition....along with a lot of other ppl.
