Very smooth operator. Some sweet looking poplar, I love this stuff for making high end paint grade trim.

Very cool footage. So fast compared to my manual Norwood mill. Do those last larger pieces go to a different mill to get broken down to smaller boards?

Yes. The headsaw gets it square, then that cant goes to a secondary breakdown called a resaw. There it will be broken down into boards and Timbers.

He is especially with the other saw putting out 2 pieces to my 1. But the edger is automated and optimized.

Mostly high end molding stock

@@Inspectorwill thanks I looked it up I spent 20 years in the sawmills in the pacific northwest mostly fir pine and cedar

@@brianmitchell3775 I would love to go to a big Douglas fur mill and watch the sawyer ride on those huge carriages saw 12” by random width Timbers that are 40’ long and going through the gang edger. Nothing but dust and boards coming out the other end.
