It doesn’t look that scary it looks like they just rushed everything together and said yep this maze is perfect. They’ve should’ve not given this to six flag’s because I feel like they rush haunted mazes ik this maze isn’t universal but they should put this at the park because im sure universal will make it a spot on maze because there mazes are a 10/10 because they take there time to put in every inch of detail into there mazes

For a franchise known for inventive kinetic traps, most of these rooms are very lacking.

I appreciate them actually letting the horror actors act and having real people in traps instead of dummies. The sets could’ve been so much better though. The music and sound effects were clearly afterthoughts here. Would’ve loved to hear the theme at least once. A lot of it seemed barren and generic. It lacked cohesion too. I think haunts based on movies should try to tell the story a bit. I understand the budget is nearly as much as horror nights so that limits them a lot.

3:24 I was literally cringing omfg and the fact that their clothes are random and not costumes accurate to Adam and Lawrence and yet they are trying to have full dialogue as if they are the characters. OOF

to be fair, there was no way the films production crew was going to spoiler their new movie to a separate creative staff for the haunted house. Movie based games suffer under similar issues but it's really hard to create a large creative project around a separate project that is currently being produced and subject to non disclosure agreements.

I went to a haunted house at a pumpkin patch when I was 8 years old and absolutely hated it. Nine years later, I went to one on Halloween night and loved every minute of it!

I'm not a fan anymore of Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights but damn they made their version of SAW maze 1,000% better than Six Flags. I see this SAW X maze as something that was made by someone under straight low budget who install the maze in the backyard of their house using again the store Party City Halloween season items hahaha

Same im not Halloween Horror Nights Fan, but yeah Saw Haunted house from 2010 in Hollywood and 2017’s Saw Haunted house is amazing sadly never been these houses and Six Flags version.

Much better than their Conjuring maze. It almost feels like something HHN would make, but if HHN had a fraction of its budget.

I know not to expect HHN level standard, that said for Fright Fest standard is pretty ok. Its evident that its a late and rushed addition considering its opened almost a month after the event started and even got delayed a few times so there is that. Some of the sets are pretty neat like the bathroom and pig hanging scenes but many of the rooms feel baron with a trap in the center of the room, which I think are pretty well built. Also something that you dont realise untill its gone is sound design, no sound effects on any of the traps, not even "Hello Zepp" anywhere in the house or Jigsaw dialogue, they are probably overlook whem designing a house but they add alot of atmosphere. So overall pretty ok.

I came here for this, and I’m satisfied, but I would fix a few things about this maze, *if you all wanna hear them.*

So they call it the Saw X haunted house, but with the exception of the last one, none of those traps are from Saw X. Makes sense.

It’s pretty crazy they called this a saw X haunted house and then showed 2 traps from saw X and about 10-20 from other saw movies

I think it was a little messy and that they could have done more, but I like how they incorporated traps from a few other movies besides Saw X. However it would have been better with a few classic traps like the reverse bear trap.

The off brand 2017 hhn maze:

I love all dark rides / haunted houses even the sketchy ones... this one similar to some of the themed Universals is too open and too well lit. They should just old school and make it dark tight maze then open up to trap room then back to maze and repeat. They could of done more with trap effects then and doctor them up more Saw was a brutal movie. Maybe even make a couple rooms interactive where someone has to help them find something?

They definitely could of added more to everything in this maze.... it's SAW come on!! That should of been a hit..

So i think this is how they did the water box Theres 2 boxes, a smaller and bigger one The smaller one is filled with water while the bigger one (where your head goes) doesnt have any so it gives the illusion that somekne is drowning

Thanks for posting. All the Six Flags have this so I was curious on how it was different then the one here at Great America (Illinois). It’s generally the same which makes me think that corporate just bought the scenes and stuck them in each park. Ours is a little more winding and narrow. We don’t have the sawing scene from the first movie

Six flags 100000% dropped the ball when they got the ok to do Saw and the Conjuring. I know the actors worked with what they had but it’s so disappointing as both haunted houses had soooooooo much potential to be amazing. I’m glad I didn’t go this year because just because of those two houses I would have demanded back my admission. Like why the hell is it so quiet??? The girl in the needle pit??? Where the hell is the emotion and fear??? Just playing in a ball pit. And I swear to god the guy in the pig mask is 100% wearing a Harry Potter cloak. The best screaming is honestly coming from the speakers. Do better Six Flags…

I definitely agree with you, my family and I were about to go just for these Saw and The Conjuring themes, I'm glad we couldn't go, I would have been so disappointed because the price is expensive for this!!! It seems like a joke to me and it's not scary, just sadness and laughter. 👎🏿

HAUNTED HOUSE VERY SCARY

This is supposed to be saw X? They took random traps from a bunch of different movies and put together the most lackluster, pathetic sets around. I worked at small time haunted house that put more effort, time, and passion into their haunts with 8x less as much budget as 6 flags has. On top of it, the actors look BORED out of their minds to even be there. Like we are bothering them by walking thru😂🤡

As a professional idiot, here’s the score of the maze *Terror aspect* : 2/10. It looks more fun then scary to go through *Actor quality* : 6/10 better then my high school horror maze but still pretty bad compaired to bigger maze companys *Interior design* : 5/10 suprizingly, a random highschool about an hour away from six flags made a better maze then a company known for theme parks *reccomamdation* : eh. Not worth the money if I’m honest, but fun to do *final score* : 4.5/10. Slightly depressing how bad it came out *Other notes* : maybe next year will do better. Maybe next year

Did a bunch of people get hurt and sue all these places doing mazes? Why is every maze suddenly so bright? You can see where all the scare actors are coming from and you can see where all their hiding spots are. Ruins the immersion.

For Fright Fest, the sets and props are incredible. This is really let down by the lack of scare actors, the baffling omission of startling sound effects whenever they emerge and the lackadaisical performances the few actors are giving. So much potential here, wasted.

Had a blast last October I know Saw and Conjuring could’ve been much better but for what it was I was impressed considering SF is not known for mazes I’m sure they’ll get better and better cause that’s all I’ve been experiencing every year they just get better and better but it’s gonna take some time I’m sure they’ll figure it out

So they’re definitely giving the haunted house licensing rights back to Universal after this one, right?

As someone who loves haunted houses and the saw franchise, this is really bad for a haunted house attraction. The lack the motivation and energy of some of the scare actors, The rooms that are setup way to big. Its just not delivering the experience saw desirves. They could really learn from the haunted houses in Thorpe Park (uk) or Walibi Holland (former six flax holland)

I really hope HHN notices this and takes inspiration for next year.

I just went to this at great America, I can’t believe you would even think that HHN should take inspiration from any thing six flags has done with a Halloween event. Six flags houses might have been some of the dullest haunted house experiences I’ve ever done. I felt cheated out of my money.

hahaha whoever designed this has probably seen only 2 or 3 saw movies and had a month to do it. idk why it just looks and feels so empty and has very little actual scares. i guess if you’re a casual saw fan you’ll like it but if you you’re a big fan or looking to be scared, you’ll probably be disappointed.

no music, random traps from the entire saw series, random sets and scares that have nothing to do with the series like the first two rooms. a thrown together mess of a house, HHN blows this out of the water. literally just copy Saw X scene by scene and it would’ve been better
