Kim Simmons and Lonesome Dave... what a pair bluesmen from England. Dave went on to Foghat, as you may remember. I caught Kim at an Air Force Base show in 1977, if I remember correctly. The group played on a flat bed trailer and we were all sitting on the ground in the dark. Great performance, it seemed as though I was the only one who knew the songs as most of my contemporaries weren't into blues at the time. I listened to the Bluesbreakers and of course, Chickenshack; later known as Peter Green's version of Fleetwood Mac. FOR SALE and HELLBOUND TRAIN are a bit bluesier than St Corner Talking... gotta love the artwork on that cover too!

Been listening to this since way back in high school. From the album, 'Street Corner Talking", by Savoy Brown. Great album & still love it.
Heard this band during my first tour in Germany. Listened to them ever since!
Been a fan of Savoy since ! was 13!

One of my favorites from Savoy Brown.
Thanks Tom :) My sis stole my Street Corner Talking album a few years ago..I bought that new -back in the 70's- well then someone stole it from her shortly after that ha! What goes around comes around.. Sure missed this music there are no equals. I bought the cd a couple of years ago but there are tracks missing. Ah such is life!
Every time i hear this album i think of doing LSD back in the day.. Some things just bring you back,.Minneapolis was a hip town back in the day..
loves me some SB !
remember the Boston Common and the Cambridge Common? Where you could get a sack for ten bucks and it was better than dirt weed. And only 10 or 15 for a large amount. Never again. What a effed up world we live in today, much to my regret. It's all about the mney, and the profit. Not about the soul. Damn.
This band is and has become very intriguing to me because every song and every version of is a journey threw time and the talent that passed threw this band is amazing . Hugely under appreciated for all the influences that have been placed as well. Dave Walker is my favorite but I love them all , Mr Simmonds is a true gentleman and the best guitarist on the planet ! Since you've been gone with Dave Walker singing is my all time favorite
OH ya..feel like a care free young man ...real music here...
Had the LP and now can listen to this great group on this laptop. Great sound!
dang.. feeling this one
Great rendition of this song and great album. I'm gonna start playing this with my band! MoJelly Blues Band

yeah - I had this on vinyl a billion years ago - so damned good
Love this unheralded band; there's more grit n blues in their music than many other English bands who made it big.
yeah man, driving to Fla for spring break.,great friends, great music, great bud.those were the best days of my life..Rock On.
Thanks Tom always loved this band.
Another great one by SB!
I love it
Very good BLUES...!!!...

Brilliant
i saw savoy brown with deep purple and pink floyd Tampa Stadium, think it was 74- they were all great. Did a hit of pink a, purple a and brown mesc., , it was available all over the field- the stadium was set up with a quadraphonic PA. Blackmore tore up his strat and threw it in the crowd-- big fight over the guitar. Great Show

Fucking trippin ..omg
Saw these cats at the Yale in Vancouver. Awesome!!
This is close to the Al Green version (my own preferred groove on this one).
We all listened to the Temptations back then, but if I was going out on the town for blues and beer, I would much rather hear the Al Green/Savoy Brown styling of this one. Oh, but don't even think about it if you don't have B3 keys -- can't get next to that.
Great Grooves.
Thank you always love them! :)
At the WareHouse1972 ( I think ) with the DOOBE Brother, long time ago. Still Rocking to Street Corner Talking, GREAT LP.
The best version
I first saw Savoy Brown opening up for Status Quo in Liverpool, UK "The Stadium" in 1972!!!! ... I remember the guitarist playing a gold top Les Paul at the time.

Try breaking this one into a medley where you combine the two versions, that ought to earn you some real points with your audience. :)
Cool blues!
DIG THIS!
@blueeyesol good choice my Friend, and play it with the Feeling as Savoy Brown has...
nice
great but lacking the immediacy of the temptations version, bought this back in 1971 and got kim simmonds to sign it for me in 'dallas, texas. i feel sorry for those that live in muleshoe, hard to get autographs there.
They slept on my floor more than once in the 60,s , had to go to US to make good
The memories this brings back are almost pornographic.
