Saving the Trees, One Log at a Time
In this video I saw up some great looking pine logs into framing lumber (true 2x4 and 2x6s) and some siding boards (1x) with a Wood Mizer LT15 sawmill! I also cut down a rotten pine tree that was trash, and then a standing dead pine tree which was salvageable.

He pulled it through the gate AND debarked it for ya! What a gentleman!
A video with Mr. Harris isn't complete without his offer to help and he didn't disappoint. Thanks for the laugh!

Good way to salvage trees - not just firewood. Like the fact your mill is portable and can take it to the logs. Wish I could find someone in my area like that. Stay safe.
I love how you used the tractor to turn the log on the sawmill. Give a farmer or sawmiller a problem and they will find a solution every time. Beautiful wide boards.

That's real neat! You got some pretty cool camera shots in this video!
One of my favorite channels 4 sure !
Great update Wes. Some nice lumber there. Stay safe & well. 👍👍
That’s why I enjoy you so much - when you jacked up the end of the log and jammed that stick in there - something I would do and have done - no frills but you get it done

Wes is indeed a great neighbor and a great friend. He doesn’t work for free, but he and I usually can reach an agreement on a job that is advantageous to us both. He has done four or five videos on our place, and helped me salvage lumber from windstorm blow-downs. Even though this job was a flat-rate affair, Wes took the time and effort to get the maximum amount of usable lumber out of every log.
Hahahahaha, loved the credits at the end of the video.
good video and job you sawed him some nice lumber. i think i am going to get some of them blades. missed seeing the little guy. take care, be sare and well.
Wow, the cost savings on the lumber with todays prices is incredible, nice tractor to boot.
I always enjoy your videos. That sawmill of yours sure does a great job and you sure do a great job putting it to use. God bless you brother in Jesus name, amen.
Great work sir!
Your living my dream.
Hi Wes. It looks like a lot of relatively free lumber for the taking. The more you save, the less you buy. Have good days!
Great video
I haven't seen a pure log millin' video in so long I'ze beginnin' to think you forgot how to use that LT. Ha! When you can't roll a log after three tries, it's time to let the Kubby do it. Nicely done, Wes.
Good footage.

Nice technique with the grapple and peavey.

Well done, from California
another use for a kubota tractor . I did not know Kubota made a log turner . good tractor .
Was wondering why you didn't put the saw closer to the logs, but later noticed you were working in the shade, so that answered itself, nice job.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
A draw knife would be useful on the wayne.. Nice saving the wood that was well done. Save getting bugs in others as well.
Hey Wes, in one of your old videos you said it takes you about 15 minutes to setup your mill. I wish you would make a video explaining which stands you put down first and why because it takes me about 40 minutes to setup mine. I saw you were putting down one of the center sets of stands first to get the mill off the hitch, that's what made me think of this. George
@falllineridge

Yep, 15 minutes is about right. But I don't really have a routine now that I think about it. If the mill is on unlevel ground, I'll put the stands down on the downhill side first and get it kinda level, then put the uphill stands down. I normally have to do those middle ones first in order to lift up the front because the front of the mill is usually too low on the hitch to rotate the stands into position. My drill with the socket on it really is the key, it makes things very fast. So, I guess the pattern really depends on the ground that the mill is sitting on.
Отличная работа!) лесопилка крутая у тебя, больше всего понравилось. что у нее есть привод и не нужно толкать ее во время работы.

It was indeed me sneezing. Wind picked and blew sawdust right in my face.
Great video, Wes - thanks for sharing, my friend !! Missed not seeing your assistant today !! BTW, what is your son's name, brother ?
So I have a question... In all of my time watching these kinds of videos - cutting lumber for personal use - I have been wondering why no one has set up for a charcoal kiln using all the offcuts? If you don't need the firewood it would be an excellent way to make more quality product from the offcuts.
My only question is, has one of those band saw blades ever gotten you when changing them out? That thing looks like it could get you quick!
Is there some way to save and use all of that saw dust?
In one of your videos you said you got some saw blades from a place in Dothan, AL. Where was that at and what kind of blades?
Did you do all that milling in front of the tree to show the tree what you are capable of?
@falllineridge

Yes, keeps the trees in their place.
Which blade did you use? Was it Bimetal or the Kasco?
What tooth pitch are you using on those pines?

How do you get to hell? Very simple: claim that you're innocent. How do you get to heaven? Very simple: Admit that you're not Innocent, you're guilty and ask for mercy. How to know if you're guilty or not? Simply: Compare your life to the Ten Commandments God gave you in the Bible. Everyone agrees that if people followed the ten commandments there would be no need for governments or police. Do not lie. Do not steal. Do not commit adultery. Do not insult God by using his name as a cuss word. There are six more but let's just leave it at that. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you? Jesus said, if you look at a women lustfully you've already committed adultery in your heart with that woman. How many times a day do you do that? Do you use God's name as a cuss word? Would you do that with your own mother's name? If you answer these questions honestly you know that you're guilty. God can justly punish you and send you to hell. Ask him for mercy. His name is Jesus. It's as simple as this, The Ten Commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke God's laws. Jesus paid the fine. The fine is death. Ezekiel 18:20 - "The soul who sins shall die." That's why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins. This is why God is able to give us Mercy. Option A. You die for your own sins. Option B. Ask for mercy and accept that Jesus died on the cross for you. ❤ *Honest questions are welcome.*
