SAVING LIVE TURTLES and EELS From FOREIGN FOOD MARKET!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In today's video, we go to a foreign food market that sells LIVE fish, turtles, eels, frogs, AND MORE! This place keeps these live animals in horrible conditions so we bought as many as we could and transported them to my private pond where they can live a happy life! Should we go back and make a part 2?

The issue isn't that fact that people want to eat them, the issue is that they live horribly before then. Death comes for every living thing, but to be kept in such awful conditions before you die is far too cruel.

This was so sweet. I'm glad you saved the ones you did. The only thing is, if you buy them all - they just get more b/c now they'll think that they're a hot commodity! If you really want to help - work more toward getting them shut down or to change their ways. We have several international markets here where I live, and it's sad. People DO actually eat them, and I've not got a problem with that - but I DO have a problem with how they keep and kill them. That's so gross.

I dont like giving money to places like this because it supports their business, but the employees ha e to make a living too and there is always gonna be a demand for things like this. The best we can do is establish quality control and guide lines so the fish dont have to suffer more than they already do.

The problem is if they keep buying them they are just going to support the market for these animals and the sellers are going to make profit and just restock. They should try raising awareness by maybe contacting local organisations that deal with animal cruelty and the like and getting them to help bring publicity to this.Though these videos are also helping with the publicity part , it won't solve the problem even though they meant to help and I do appreciate that

  • @ashlingofAsh7580

Sad thing is about this is when you buy you make room for more to be caught and shipped to the store. So the cycle never ends for the animals.. what sucks is, no ppl buying then animals die and go to waste and they won't want to sell them again. Which sucks. But that's how it works

I agree. I said the same thing about the fish he "saved" from poor conditions at the "abandoned" pet shop. Bobby is a great person with the purest intentions. His methods are just counterproductive to his goals. With his influence on youtube he could probably organize a very effective protest and boycott of places like this.

@@johnfranklin4986 yeah I agree. When your young your quick in actions..which sure alot are good. But you get older and you realize don't fight a war at the end of it. No. You go fight the fight at the source. Then you can win. Some times you can't. Like saving the wild mustang. And was decades fighting to stop shooting the wolves. And like dog meat over in Asia, ect. That fight took forever and still going on, though less in certain areas.. I was flighty and jumped the gun many times saving animals in my youth. Became a animal control officer, learned alot. Went to alot of courts. Was a vet tech 17 yrs, learned alot there too. Horse show stables, even the local zoo. I seen it all. Heard it all. Wanted to do bad things to more corrupt places then you can imagine. It changes you!

You know that you were putting the store down for selling live fish for eating BUT you took such great pleasure feeding that tilapia to your catfish. That's what duplicity means. You buy fish at stores to eat, you feed your fish live fish ALL THE TIME. Where's the difference? Some people prefer live fish for freshness unless you go fishing and catch your own. Which is what we do. There's no difference. Ok. I thought this was fish. Save the turtles.

  • @zsawyerdodge

THANK. YOU. What’s the difference between feeding his fish live fish and someone else eating them? I honestly don’t think they SHOULD be sold live, and sold right after death maybe, but it does happen because it’s a way of making money for people. Clearly he hasn’t been to a T&T or anything like that because he was being rude basing it off the smell right when he walked in. That’s very insulting. Pretty sure he’s not a vegetarian either so what’s the difference between having a hamburger or a hotdog or chicken? Oh right, none.

Could not agree more with first two comments above, but I do want to add something. You will never accomplish putting an end to this practice, by assuring that business is booming for these market owners. What about the animals brothers or sisters that weren’t caught the first time because the demand wasn’t as high? You are successfully instigating hunting down the rest of these critter’s family members to be inhumanely caught and kept then killed to be eaten. Simple economics kids. If I go buy all of the puppies from the puppy mill down the street that are disgustingly neglectful to them, do you think that the owners will just pack it up and stop breeding more puppies? 😏🤔

@@ancientstar367 it actually makes zero difference whether or not he buys these animals. Their business is supported otherwise by the people who purchase the live animals to actually eat. Even if he stopped buying the animals, the same amount of people who regularly purchase them is not going to change. So, unless you get the people who eat them to stop, there will always be these live markets. So, it's actually doing more good than bad to buy the animals to give them a second chance at life. Though, idk how I feel about them releasing these animals into the wild if they're not native. Even if it's a private pond. This is a state that gets floods all the time, which is how so many invasive fish have gotten into the ecosystem. All from the private ponds flooding into canals and other water ways. Another major issue with releasing animals that have been in captivity for any amount of time is a risk for introducing viruses and disease to the wild populations.
