Thank you so much for this channel I have been watching your how beginners guild to script series and I just made my first script without a tutorial. All it does is spawn a part into the work space then slowly make it invisible but it’s a start. Because of you I am able to start my journey of developing simple games in Roblox!!!

Also you first podcast really helped my way of thinking of scripting because I used to always have these amazing ideas but I wasn’t good at scripting so I could never execute them

I use to make basic games just free models no scripts, nothing. Now I know how to script currency, currency increaser etc. ty Alvin

Hi Alvin - Thank you for these tutorials. I was learning quite a bit going through the Egg Hunt Series but I can only find 2 videos in the series. Are, there more? I'd like to create a "Find It" game for the kids. Similar to Find the Markers. I imagine that it would be very similar to an egg hunt except the eggs would be already hidden and not falling from the sky and there would only be one of each kind of egg where currently in this series the spawns create more than 1 of the same type of egg.

Thank-you for all your excellent tutorials. I am finding in this one that the bind seems to make things more inconsistent - sometimes it finds player.removing and sometimes not, which is frustrating. Whereas if I remove it, it triggers correctly all the time. Any knowledge on known bugs or troubleshooting this function?

I already made a inventory gui lol btw nice tutorial!

I really needed this! In my game I made originaly a code that gets saved and based of its digits it changes the "unlocked" bool value. If the digit was 1 then true and if 2 then false. I made that with modulus.

I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on a waiting on player loading screen kind of system. Basically, for example, lets say you select a character, and then there’s a loading screen while waiting for the other player to quote on quote pick their character. Once both players are ready, they are spawned into the world. If you could do a tutorial on that, that would be awesome!

Hey Alvin, thanks for this video! I have the same code as you except for one line that gives players a 'point' in the "Touched Egg Clone Event". It runs fine, but when I added this script to EggSpawns the eggs no longer spawn. I made sure everything was exactly the same. Is it possible that my 'add point' line could mess things up that bad? It worked fine up until I added this new code. Thank you!

Another great vid to work through! I think this will help with my quest to build a... quest system :D HELP! I'm getting the same issue I had with my earlier attempt with this. The inserted values in the Eggs folder don't come back. The data us there but appears to be empty when I print out #eggdata for example... I've set the game to use the DataStore API, are there any other config options I need to set?

Apologies!!! My error, it's all working now :) On the data load I was not referencing the Eggs folder in replicated storage correctly! Hopefully I can build on this for my quest system. The Eggs will become Folders with values inside of them. No idea how I'm supposed to iterate through sub folders, hints welcome :D

Tip! I was puzzling about this and I found the reason, I dont know if you had this problem but in Data script on the 34th line theres { } these types of brackets, NOT ( ) these I hope this helps you avoid my mistake

If there was a script that was interfering with another script. Is there a way to disable the script like for example if "C" on your keyboard is clicked?

Hey AlvinBlox! Recently there was an exploiter in my friend's game. He changed his walkspeed locally and his position was replicated to the server, so he was able to move faster. On the developer forum i have not found a good solution to exploiters. A solution would be to teleport back players that change position too fast, but in my friend's game there are cars... Do you know what to do in this cases?
