SAVING A DESERT TURTLE
Hiking up Finger Rock Trail we run across a rarely seen desert turtle caught in a thicket. We rescue the turtle and bring it to the last bit of running water we saw in the Catalina mountains.

@MikePresents2 Thanks much, he was a big one. And you're right, he was very happy to be out of that thicket and into the water in the canyon.
@misizjackson, I came across one the size of a silver dollar hiking in Romero canyon a few days ago. (see my video - Lower Romero Canyon - 24-25Jul10) It must have just hatched.
