The zombie isn’t a zombie villager, it’s just a zombie. But if the difficulty is set to hard on the Outcasts, then Gary is still alive. As a zombie villager able to be cured. Unless he burned in the sunlight... but Gary might still be out there.

I don't think tazoh had Gary in the first place. Gary's boat is dark oak, while tazoh's villager/zombie had a regular oak boat.

If the difficulty is "Hard", Gary is likely alive. If its normal or easy, the zombie probably killed him wtihout zombifying him.
