JC Whitney where everything was Guaranteed!!! Sadly I never ever heard them replace anything!!! But it was Guaranteed!!! See it's says that on every picture Guaranteed!!! My experience mostly junk wouldn't last. But it was Guaranteed!!!!

Hard to imagine why there was no spark at 15:25 when you pulled the wire out of the coil instead of the distributor!

Either that man was trying to fill a void in his life with material things, or he had a sick sense of humor, either way; digging through a mans entire lifes possessions gives you a peek into the way his mind worked. You guys were quite respectful yet funny. One of my favourite episodes to date.

I wish Mook was along for this revival, she makes the video, I love her sense of humor. Nice truck, I envy the new owner.

The Camper special with 454 is a "heavy half" ton truck. It also came factory with duel tanks as part of package. I grew up racing dirt bikes using a '77 my dad bought two weeks after I was born.

This is easily my favorite series. I love that you are finding everything you need in the building. Imagine finding the actual toolbox...

In 73, the big rectangle tank was a dealer installed option hence why they look like an afterthought

You guys are great and I love seeing all these old Chevy's getting brought back to life. I can't wait to see what else you drag out of the barns.

Awesome GMC 454. That 5 th Ave in the barn looked nice also.

Kevin, back in the day of bias-ply tires rears had traction tread, fronts were straight tread. If you put "fronts" on the rear you would get stuck easily. The trade off was in ride and noise. Straights ran smooth and quite(kind of like modern passenger tires), traction or rears(Truckers would call these drives) were noisy(much like running Groundhawgs all around a 4X4). Old timers often told youngsters "steers to rears" when rotating tires.

Holy shit, that tailgate!!!!!!! That's squarebody gold.

Crazy part is you know folks around there recognized those trucks as the old man's.... Seeing them drive might be kinda ghostly

Happy to hear your family was safe after that crazy storm. Here in Central Nebraska we had a tornado warning at 1, by 2 pm that turned to dust storm warning, and by four we were in a snow squall warning. Life on the plains.

It really was crazy how quickly the weather moved/changed. We're sitting basically right on the Nebraska/Iowa border so we didnt see any snow. It was still wild and a tornado was spotted only a few miles away but never stayed on the ground. Thankfully we have the Loess Hills for some protection from things like that. We were very fortunate considering.

I love the customization on these trucks. It's like what a 14 year old in the 80's would do to a truck given a big budget and a mail order catalog.

Another successful oldie back on the road! By the way, if the blower isn't working, you can still turn the heater on and heat will come to the cab if, and I mean IF, the heater core is working! Really good looking old square body!! I hope someone that really appreciates these trucks got this one!

I am originally from Iowa and fellow car enthusiast, and the joy this channel brings to me is unparalleled to much else. Cheers to JYD and their amazing content!

I love these kind of videos! A couple of my buddies and I used to “rescue” vehicles like this back in our late teens to mid 20’s back in the early 90’s. We would ride around on back roads looking for cars sitting in the weeds that obviously weren’t driven or cared about anymore, and usually scoop them up for $500 or less (usually less). More often than not, we were told that they didn’t run and either tell us to make an offer, or throw a price out there and we’d negotiate from there. I was the mechanic of the group and 99% of the time, I could troubleshoot them, get them running and drive them out of there. There were even a few times that we were told we could HAVE them if we got them out of their yard. Barrett Jackson (as much as I live watching it) has killed that now though because everyone thinks their rusted out, non running shitbox is worth 6 figures because they saw a remotely similar one go for that on BJ 🙄. One of my favorites was a ‘77 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 350 Pontiac (big block) and Quadrajet. Was told it didn’t run, and I got it for $200. Threw some new plugs and wires in it, along with a fresh battery and gas, and drove it out of there boiling smoke off the back tires.

Pontiac fans will argue there is no such thing as a big block Pontiac...however...their last V8 was the 301 that evolved from the 303 planned for the Trans Am, which was a Pontiac 400 running a lower deck height. so theoretically, the 301 was the small block Pontiac V8.

The CB industry was kept alive by this guy.

The biggest issue with old 8tracks is the foam behind the tape. If it's deteriorated or crushed, the tape won't play and may wind up in the player like an old VHS does.

Gotta love them square body 70's trucks. Gm's never die, they just wait for someone to love them again. Great video.

Wish i had a truck like that over here in the Netherlands. Great stuff guys!

Yes. This part made me stop believing. Was it accidental? Was it a second take because someone forgot to film? Who knows, but you won't get spark if the coil is unplugged.

Little off topic, but at 3:36 there is a great Combine Harvester complete with a corn header. I wonder/hope Kevin will bring that beast back to life, in order to harvest his corn that was planted using abandoned equipment.

I am so glad that your family is okay from the storm, I saw the pictures and was shocked that happened to great people. Things come up and family comes first.

I am fascinated by this series of videos for two big reasons: 1) I am a scavenger by nature and I'd have the time of my life digging through those buildings sorting out the "keep" stuff with the garbage and clearing them out, and 2) my first car was a 76 Monte Carlo and I dearly loved that old piece of 70's long front end steel.

I love these videos where your working on these old trucks!! This 70's trucks are so awesome!

Glad your parents were ok and not a huge loss great work on your videos I only watch a few channels yours, mooks, and Derek’s glad seeing these old rigs going grew up driving these learned how to drive in a 1987 Chevy Cheyenne

Smells like brakes, shudders like crazy after stopping for that red light, stuck brake caliper. I remember the brake pedals on Ford's used to have a small round ring on the brake pedal that said "disc brakes" because it was the new thing! Love your work! ~Car guy from Maine.

"Keep front tires on front" is another trucker reference. Some older trucks had front wheels that weren't compatible on rear hubs, but some drivers added that sign if they wanted to keep their "nice" undented/scratched wheels up front so they didn't get damaged when flipped on the duals.

Word of advice on the 8 tracks. The decks may need new belts and rubber bits and the tapes may need new felt/foam pads, rubber pinch rollers, and the metal splice that keeps the tape together/changes the channel.

Good description of fuel pumps and the benefits of priming them, but what you missed is that in line primer bulbs made for boats are great at doing just that.

It’d be much easier to drive it out. So I guess we’ll be getting an f250 video eventually. I hope you finish it. Like windows. Lights etc. and put it on the road for real like the eagle. I regret not watching this until now, then again I didn’t really have the time. But I loved this revival because my grandpa used to have a blue 73’ Chevy with a 454. So it’s really cool to hear one.

I hope you kept all those accesories on the truck, They make the truck unique and cool

Man, I’d love to find a barn full of cars and trucks like that. I have several projects lined up to get running, but once I get them all running I’m going to have to find something else, because the fun part for me is getting a vehicle running that has been sitting a long time. I can’t wait to see all the other vehicles you get back on the road from there. I’m really looking forward to seeing your video on the Monte Carlo you showed at the end of this video.
