SAVED by a subscriber after I left my weight belt at home! Spearfishing for Snapper....
The mission was to head out and grab a feed from one of my local spots, we had a family dinner coming up and needed food for the week as well.
The problem was that I had stupidly eft my weight belt at home but as luck would have it I meet up with Marco a subscriber, at the beach and he lends me his one!
Armed with the borrowed weight belt I head out into the bay and get stuck into the snapper coming back with three nice fish to feed the whanau and Marco....

I built my kayak trailer myself so it's not one that you could just go out and buy but it is basically a trailer with a couple of 100mmx50mm timbers bolted to the top of it for the kayak to rest on, it would be easy to modify an existing trailer to make it work like that...Cheers!!!

Another great video Kerry! Nerd question: When you shoot snapper from the ledges, are you fully extending your shooting arm right out, or are you still tucked in a little? I find by the time I'm ready to shoot, the snapper have usually just spooked!

Excellent question, Sometimes I get to full extension but there are plenty of times where I do not and I think that is why I miss a good number of fish, I'm instinct shooting because I know that the fish is about to spook and I will miss the chance. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't lol.
