SAVE THIS PLANT! | How I rescued these AGAVE plants (for free!)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Come and join me as I show you how I took two discarded and dried-up Artichoke AGAVE pups and transformed them into beautiful plants, perfect for landscaping or pots.
I found two Agave parryi var. truncata (Artichoke Agave) on the side of the road at my work, and I quickly picked them up and brought them home as I knew they could come back to life as beautiful landscaping plants for my drought-tolerant garden.
I cleaned the plants, repotted them in some great soil, and left the plant in the shade to recover and come out of dormancy. These plants are really easy to care for, are strikingly beautiful, and require very little water, but just some bright sunlight - either direct or indirect. You'll see the difference in the two plants between the one that was potted up a month before, and the plant that is only being rescued today.
Both plants should make a full, gorgeous recovery and will be really easy to take care of; with just a little water and being placed in a nice sunny spot - and if conditions are right, they'll even give you lots more plants FOR FREE!

I just love your videos. I found an Aloe on the side of the road. Looked like it was pulled up by a small critter, it had been chewed on. Two years later that plant has rewarded me with many, many babies. I just find it so rewarding to save these plants. Thanks again 🙂

This video showed up just in time! I had already rescued about 8 century big pups that landscaping threw away and was about to give up on them. I will give them some TLC again and hopefully they can still be saved. There are about 10 to 15 new pups that I have permission to cut before landscaping comes. 😮 Enjoying your channel but it will get me in trouble now that I have learned more ways to get free plants😂. My son is going to kill me lol. Just loved your video of your front yard. So beautiful and colorful. I had given up on succulents but you have renewed my interest in them again. Blessings. ❤

I'm trying to figure out why my agave is turning yellow. You think you can help out?

Could be a number of things... make sure it's not being over-watered, they prefer it dry and can easily rot. They also sometimes get pests such as agave weevils, you might check for that.
