Death note (one of my few first anime) 19. Clannad (plan to watch this, looking forward for the sad ending) 20. Black butler (also one of my few first, i read the manga as well) 21. Toaru kagaku no railgun (i finished this anime and really enjoyed it, im planning to rewatch) 22. Durarara (on watchlist) 23. Anohana (same, also it's sad so i wanna know) 24. Astro Boy (never watched it, but it's still one of the most iconic anime ever) Heidi (my parents grew up on this, and I too watched a bit) Doraemon (I grew up on this, great show) Captain Tsubasa (didn't watch it as much as Doraemon, but still a big part of my childhood) Dragon Ball (probably the most iconic anime ever) Yuu Yuu Hakusho (never watched it but I heard it's amazing) Evangelion (same as Yuu Yuu Hakusho. I also love the opening) Kenshin (exactly the same as Yuu Yuu Hakusho) Pokemon (to this day I still love this franchise as a whole) Cowboy Bebop (amazing soundtrack, and from what I heard a great show too) One Piece (my favorite anime) Hajime no Ippo (I heard it's one of the best sports anime out there, so yeah) Spirited Away (arguably the most iconic anime movie ever) Naruto (it's in my top 3, I don't know if it's second or third tho) Fullmetal Alchemist ( I really wanna watch this. The 1st opening brings back memories) Bleach (of course the 3rd member of the Big 3 had to be here too) Mushishi (heard it's a great show) Code Geass (the other anime in my top 3) Gurren Lagann (heard it's very emotional, and an all-around great show) Inazuma Eleven (grew up on this, love this show) FMA Brotherhood (improved version of the og FMA, what's not to love?) Durarara (I picked this one because it's the one I heard of more often) Hunter X Hunter (apparently one of the best shonen ever) Jojo (great anime with a creative art style and plot, from what I've heard) Attack on Titan (one of the best plots in anime history) Haikyuu (my brother loves this, great sports anime) Death Parade (one of the most emotional anime I've ever watched) Mob Psycho (also very emotional, and a great improvement journey for Mob) Black Clover (great shonen from what I've heard) Grand Blue (my favorite comedy anime) Vinland Saga (probably the best character development in anime) Jujutsu Kaisen (one of my favorite new-gen anime, love the power system) Tokyo Revengers (the only one I saw out of the ones shown here, I liked it a lot) Chainsaw Man (my other favorite new-gen anime, love the manga) Zom100 (I love the creativity and overall vibe of this show)

My favorite year is by far 2011. Most of my favorite are from there. Steins;Gate, Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, Anohana, Nichijou, Usagi Drop, Gosick, Hunter x Hunter, and more.

Looks Cool) 2006: OHSHC 2007: Clannad (Never watched) 2008: Soul Eater 2009: FAIRY TAIL 2010: Kaicho Wa Maid-Sama 2011: Madoka Magica (Not this time Fate/Zero sorry) 2012: Kuroko No Basket 2013: Free 2014: Noragami 2015: Assassination Classroom 2016: MHA (Lost two good movies. 😢) 2017: Kakegurui 2018: Banana Fish (Yes I Finally Save Ash & Eiji!!) 2019: Demon Slayer (Lost A lot of Good ones. 😢) 2020: Hanako-Kun 2021: Komi Can't Communicate 2022: Blue Lock 2023: Mashle Ironically after my year the decisions got harder.

These are always tough, butttt. 1960-69: Kimba the White Lion (otherwise we wouldn't get Lion King) 1970-74: Lupin III (spun so many iterations of Lupin himself to other forms of media). 1975-79: Doraemon (they were still airing episodes growing up as an anime kid in the 90's). 1980-84: Fist of the North Star (Omae wa mo shindeiru baby) 1985-89: Dragon Ball (tough choice but, Dragon ball was key to the shounen genre). 1990-94: Slam Dunk (don't think any other basketball anime comes close to this). 1995: Neon genesis Evangelion (iconic intro, one of the first early mature tv series outside of ONA's). 1996: Detective Conan/Case Closed (Why I love mysteries, escape rooms, and pun quizzes) 1997: Berserk (or Princess Monoke, Berserk's just too good, this anime was as best of an adaptation we currently have). 1998: Initial D (always has been the only racing anime that immediately comes to mind in its genre). 1999: One Piece (wanted to pick HxH, but without One piece there's just too many things that wouldn't happen in the industry). 2000: Hajime no Ippo (Only boxing anime franchise that is still recognizable till today, won't get Megalo Box and etc. without it). 2001: Spirited Away (Studio Ghiblis Magnum Opus, I do think Princess Mononoke is better, but Spirited Away placed the studio on the mainstream map). 2002: Millennium Actress (Very unique for its time, great director, and interesting way to portray the medium of anime) 2003: Fullmetal Alchemist (hard to deny the influence of FMA to this day. Arguably the better iteration to brotherhood in my opinion). 2004: GITS (I assume this is Stand Alone complex(?), Monster being in this year was also tough, but can't deny how much of an influence GITS;SAC to western media). 2005: Mushishi (such a vibe). 2006: Death Note (another tough choice, all the anime in this year being monumental to their genre, but I'd have to give it to Death Note). 2007: Clannad (Baccano is arguably top 10 best anime of all time, but Clannad was monumental to KyoAni's success). 2008: Toradora (one of my first anime delving into rom-com/drama type of anime, so more of a personal bias). 2009: Monogatari Series (stylistically unique, interesting characters, one of the animes that made me have to actually pause so often). 2010: Highschool of the Dead (even to this day, this NEEDS, a season 2, yes my man of culture side is showing). 2011: Madoka Magica (The Movie is just absolute cinema, so without the series, we don't get the movie, Steins;Gate is in my top 10 anime though). 2012: Sword Art Online (SAO sucks, BUT, cannot deny how pivotal it is for Sword Art Online to be saved as it opened the flood bridge of isekai anime to come). 2013: Attack On Titan (the last final ending season, also Iconic opening/s). 2014: Tokyo Ghoul (I mean we still get Kaneki profile pics. to this day, also opening 1 is just iconic if not overplayed). 2015: One Punch Man (it's what launched the mangaka known as One, without this we don't get the rest of his work so yeah). 2016: Your Name (well further helped anime be placed on the mainstream map, as well as Shinkai Makoto films so yeah). 2017: Classroom of the Elite (this is personal bias, BUT, Houseki No Kuni should be applauded for good CG, Made in Abyss is great as well). 2018: Bunny Girl Senpai (I just love this series). 2019: Vinland Saga (Brilliant story telling, character narratives/development, animation, should I say more). 2020: Jujutsu Kaisen (lineups rather weak honestly). 2021: Mushoku Tensei (Peak Isekai in every story element possible). 2022: Bocchi The Rock (rather a toss up but haven't picked a music anime yet so here's the pick). 2023: Oshi No Ko (none of the anime in this lineup has really aired its full potential yet, Oshi No ko launched an iconic intro/ending, popularity of the artists and a very good realistic look behind the scenes of show business).
