These bulbs were used for decorative lighting in business fronts and displays. My Dad was General Forman there and worked on many projects with engineers developing Mercury Vapor and High Pressure Sodium commercial bulbs .Thanks For Posting this.They were eventually purchased by North American Phillips and moved to NJ and then his operation was purchased by a Company called Solar in Warren PA.

Awesome find!! Odd for an 300w being in an color. Pretty much like the green that was on those Philips softtone pastels bulbs made back in early 90s. Wish I still had those.

I belive this was the early way of getting certain color temperatures.

Yes I think it was too! I have seen these in smaller versions too and different pastel colors.

Very cool design looking light bulb, that looks amazing that is antique and I like that is made in USA. =)

Seems interesting a 300 watt GLS light bulb coloured mint green, I didn't think they would do a big light bulb coloured mint green like that, wow I wish have a light like that and I bet it shined a tinted mint green which is very interesting!!!
