Chris, I enjoy your channel so far. I think we could use a place to network and discuss the ports and Intermodal trucking especially those of us on the East coast. I started a Facebook page called 'Port and Intermodal Trucking.' You are welcome to join and spread the word! It is in its beginning stages now but hopefully it will grow.

hi enjoy your videos! you mentioned Lone mountain were they easiest to deal with? Are they getting fleet returns? just looking for a reputable company for a used truck in savannah/jacksonville area any info appreciated.

Thanks for watching!! The process was indeed pretty easy and straight forward. Like I said I would recommend them as they are a nationwide company that are pretty big in the game. The closest one to the Jacksonville/Savannah area would be in Tifton Ga which is where I got mine from.

Oh and yes. They get get fleet trucks from knight, swift, etc. So most will be former fleet trucks.

Hi friend, thank you for watching! Not sure about the percentage. It works out to 1.25 a mile. Not great but I am home everyday the loads usually pay around 675.00 and I can do a round trip and make it home in about 10 hours. I am at TXN Intermodal out of Savannah.

In the container industry over here on the east coast it is about 1.25 to 1.50 a mile plus fuel surcharge which varies with the fuel prices.

As far as container companies go. The only one I can recommend is TXN as that's all I have worked for. They have gotten slow at times but the people are amazing. A company that's always seems to have work though is XPO

I have a grand baby coming in a few months & I wanna be home for that. I pull sand now in frameless dump. It’s ok I’m paid by the hour home everyday off weekends and they bother me. I pretty much do what / how I wanna & usually I bring home between 7-900 a week but it does vary in the slow times & being it’s a 28ft trailer alota jobs don’t look at it as class A experience so I was just looking for something to get me about some experience and retirement and then move forward in getting me a truck
