I remember being 14yrs old. Was so excited to see them on television.. what a great show it was.. amazingly savage garden received 10 aria awards that year.. I'm so lucky and proud to have been a teen growing up with this iconic story of great music that will stick forever... they definitely made there mark if it was only a short time.. love u darren and your voice.. saved me to this day...

Crazy to remember this. A time when the world embraced amazing music in the mainstream, when a couple of boys from the lower end of Brisbane suburbs were about to take on the world and win. Great times.

I remember playing this song endlessly when I fell in love in high school... good memories, good memories 😊

This is the Australian Version of Truly Madly Deeply and Darren and the female backing vocalist sang live a few times on tv shows before they reverted to the International Version which Savage Garden played fully live.

@@Strappa71 I truly wish they had recorded this version and included it at CD quality on one of their albums. I remember in late 1998 I discovered this song and the live recordings were shown on TV a lot more than the video clip filmed in Paris for the international market.

Both so passionate in what they do. It's shining through from the start 😍 and the next is history 💙 Darren's a little shy here during interview 🤗

I've never seen this before, but his hair!!! Hahaha. You can tell his voice is not as experienced as it'll be one day, but love to see how he's progressed!

Album version or original music video version is always better with this song in Particular. Savage Garden were such an awesome band seeing the Anniversary tour on the 31st of January.

Was not recorded as a duet. So even though it has a bit poorer sound quality, any version with Ana is always better to me.

Darren was married to Colby Taylor in 1994. He was never married to Anna Maria La Spina, who I believe to be his best back-up singer. They remain good friends.
