i play this song everyday as a rule

I was pregnant for my daughter when this song came out, I used to sing it to my pregnant belly, and after she was born I sang it as a lullaby to her while I rocked her to sleep at night. She's 19 years old today, and this song still holds true. I loved her before I met her, she's the baby girl I always dreamed of having, and she became my best friend. This song will always be beautiful and so very special!

I was watching David Letterman in 1999 holding my newborn daughter who was about 27 hours old when this song was performed. It was one of those perfect moments and the song is my favorite "sledgehammer." It instantly takes me back to that night.

I am 42 and I could literally overdose on nostalgia. The 90's was the last decade where there was still an innocence to life. They had the best movies, tv, and music. I sometimes sit and just close my eyes and go back to this time on my mind...just immersing myself in all the memories. I cry a lot just yearning for those days that I can never get back. The world is such a 💩show today and I just wish I could be a kid again. Just wanting to relive all those precious times 😢. I thank God for KZread...one of the only online platforms I really look at.. It’s a sign of the times.

The first time I heard this song I was 20 years old. Back then I thought how absurd is it to say you love someone even before you've met them. But that all changed when I met my wife. This song is THE definition of love 😍.

My story doesn't quite have the happy ending. We met after talking online in May of 99. We dated until she left for BYU in late August of that year. I was completely in love with her, to her I was just a fling...or so I thought. We didn't talk again for 10 years, I was happily married to my wife of now 21 years, she was simply married with children. She blocked me on Facebook after telling me she loved me then and still held a large place for me in her heart. She didn't want her husband to ever know she loved me still and that part of her wished her kids with him were mine. We have never spoken since that day. Hearing "In your eyes", "Don't take the Girl" and "Goodbye my Lover" still make me emotional to this day.

Today is my Mom's birthday..she died 5 years ago. This was one of her favorite songs..I have many happy memories sitting in the car listening to her sing along to this when it came on the radio. Grateful to have a happy memory attached to this song :)

My birthday was five days ago. My Mom is 82 and. I am blessed. to have her still in this world. Nothing prepares you for the loss of a loved one, we learn to live with their physical absence, we never forget them and they are with us through these lovely moments.

No cellphones, tablets, teens can still play outside with local games and the best thing is there are blackouts here and there which makes it more interesting for teenagers who wants to play outside at night. 🤣🤣🤣

41 years and not married, this is pure nostalgia, you work hard in your teens and twenties to reach a higher financial position, and songs like this bring you back to a simpler and comfortable time period and reminds you of the struggles you went through.

I was 15 when I met her in 1988. Shortly after that started dating her. Dated for 13 years and 2001 we were engaged and lost her in a car accident that year. I stopped living since then. Til this date I have no idea what marriage is. Lord do I miss her.
