Those trees above where the 3 pistes meet (2000,29 and 11) is the best. I think that it being so close to slopes it might be one of the best in between trees off-piste spots in Italy tbh. You might be lucky in Madonna di Campiglio but other than that, the Dolomites have usually off-piste terrains far from slopes or without trees, same for Valle D'Aosta, all the main resorts are pretty much treeless (Gressoney, Cervinia and La Thuile, I'm not a fan of Courmayeur) apart from Pila. Again great place Sauze!

take the borget drag, and then drop back down it with the lift just on the right - thro' the trees is nice, and not often skied... the two man 'colo' to Sestriere, then come back down the black... or 'sises' in Sestrier (lift 29)
Hi, I would like to ask for a shout out for the Alice FC boys JK, TLB, Rinor and Fryer coming to Sauze on the 23rd Feb!!!

Hi Emil, I am afraid we are still too busy to ski over to Sestriere but one of our good friends was there the other day and said the skiing is really great. I am sure you will have a fab time.
What is a bombino?

Bombardino - brandy, vov and cream - a typical drink to warm you up on the slopes

Have you booked lessons? First timers, especially at Sauze, need to have the basics and know their way around.

Yes - as Barry said book some lessons. Also make sure you take the Sportinia chairlift in the morning as this will take you to the beginner area. :-)

Thank you, yeah we’ve had 10 lessons before going over so we’ve got the basics nailed down 🤞🏻

@Reece Roberts I dunno. If it's your first time on a mountain, I'm still thinking you would get more out of it and go further (Sestriere and Montgenevre) if you, at least, had a guide. You could well have poor visibility on the first day, and you don't want to waste it. More importantly, you want to stay safe, and if you go wrong, you don't want to be one of those with a 100 euro cab fare back to your hotel. Why don't you email James for suggestions. We rented our skis through him last time and he was really helpful. Buon viaggio.
