~ Ingredients ~ Raw Shrimp 1-2 Tblsp > Olive oil &/or butter 1/2-1 Tsp of each seasoning > Cayenne Paprika Garlic powder Onion powder (new addition) ~ Directions ~ Thaw frozen shrimp under cold water or fill a bowl with cold water & let sit 4-5 minutes until thawed but not soggy. Change water once. *clean & devein shrimp* Peel or don’t peel shells…your preference. Once thawed, lay over a paper towel on a plate. Pat dry with paper towel. Add olive oil and/or butter (optional to use one or both) to a skillet set to a medium-not too high heat. Add shrimp to heated skillet, drizzle olive oil and start adding the seasonings: ~1/2 Tsp Cayenne Paprika Garlic powder Black pepper *Update: I’ve recently started adding onion powder too* Cook 2-3 minutes each side *Drizzle with olive oil or add 1 Tsp butter* & You’re done. Enjoy them alone, or paired with anything you want. I like vegetables or I’ll add them to my bowl of ramen (de-shelled) They go great in a shrimp boil too.

In regards to the water comments I keep getting…yes, you can put the shrimps 🦐 in a bowl of water to thaw for a few mins instead. It’s annoying when people like to point fingers or make comments like “it’s such a waste of water” … I don’t know how long ya’ll think the water ran for, but it’s not more than a couple mins…. Regardless, If you don’t turn off the water in the middle of your shower, then stfu. If you use plastics, then stfu. If you wash dishes in a sink and rinse them using a running facet, then stfu. Go point that finger standing in front of a mirror please. 🙄

Thank you, I’m glad you liked the video 🙂👍🏼 As for the shell…the flavor is still there even if you peel the shell off. You can also cook it the same without the shell. I cook both ways, with/without depending on what I’m eating with it. For example, I’d leave the shell on in a shrimp boil. (Finger foods) Sucking the juices/flavor off the shrimp before peeling.

Good flavor 👍🏼 But I’d cook um de-shelled for a bowl of ramen 🍜

Aww, that is very sweet & thoughtful! You’ll want to let the pan heat up, maybe a minute….you’ll want to hear it sizzle a little when you start loading the shrimps onto the pan. I have a very sensitive gas stove & I put mine on med/high…just not too high to where it’ll burn. It should only take a few mins each side. Only flip them once. Best of luck 😊🤞🏼

Hmmm 🤔 Are you thawing them first and making sure they are completely thawed…not frozen? Also, once you are done thawing them you can place um on a paper towel and use another paper towel to pat them dry. Other than those recommendations I’m not sure…they shouldn’t be watery.
The very first step of thawing in cold water is right but the procedure is wrong as we should use a hole less vessel to hold the cold water and make the thawing ‘easy peasy’ in few minutes!
