You have to translate the dialog to our current language. As a modern and strong female she just couldn't handle the toxic masculine (dark) side of him, if he would be weak (light) everything would be fine. She couldn't handle to be called "queen" as that implies being a weak woman. She just wanted to have a neutral title :). Why getting power from a strong man and being light, if you just csn kill of that strong man🤣🤣...I really wonder if that was the true message of amazin prime?

Not really. Sauron is very charming when he wants to be. He became Pharazon adviser. He charmed the elves into making the rings. Charming his enemy is basically his second modus operandi (first mo being war)

Honestly, that's one thing they did that was very much in keeping with the lore. Sauron, before he was cursed to "never again appear in fair form" (after the Numenorean invasion), was a very charismatic manipulator. There's a reason the called him The Deceiver.

Literal torture to on my eyes and ears. And the show is so far off Canon. She's supposed to be one of the oldest elves in Middle-Earth. But they made her younger in terms of age and personality. It's really annoying. I have seen halbrand act though. He's actually really good. But galadriel drags him down. She does an excellent job at being insufferable though

He tried to supercede it, to stand exceptional in creation and Eru's themes. The third time he actively defied Eru until he had a, 'if I have to get up off this couch-' moment. While all Valar and Maiar (Ainur) are of Ilúvatar/Eru, the Ainur 'praising' to him did not count themselves alone or above his works (firstly, being their own 'part' in the themes). So Sauron here telling us with all the swagger in the world that he's older/solitary than the music that formed all others together, by a theme conducted by and in praise of Ilúvatar, is rather braggadocio and is obviously a moment that would make ol' Melkor chuffed at the imitation.

Also, the Valar he served formally, Aulë, has an embarassing habit of Maïar in his service turning rogue through pride. Saruman, for example, was also a Maïar originally in service to Aulë. I always thought it was a theme that connected them to Aulë's own 'secretive' creation of the dwarves, whereas he showed humility to Eru about it, his Maïar by in large, do not.

In the books his "fair form" is called Annatar who called himself the "lord of gifts" but if they did that in the series it would've been an easy giveaway.. I became 100% certain when he said to Celebrimbor "call it a gift" that he was sauron

I do like this scene though the way Sauron tells her the truth he hasn’t been manipulating her everything she did she did in her own agency.

her turned on the subtle evil glare nicely in this scene and she turned on the horrified disturbed face just as well

We all knew this reveal was coming, but I love how Galadriel tries to put it on him as if it was his idea to come to middle earth when all along was her trying to manipulate everybody else to come to middle earth. Even after the reveal you’re still rooting for Sauron.

@@MahoneyBadger In the book, he humbled himself before Eönwë, the herald of Manwë, who told him to go to Valinor to receive the Elder King's judgement. He instead hid in Middle-earth. Assuming they are keeping this much of the books true in the context of the show, he probably did put himself on that ship.

The series really captured me when he went "ITS SAURBIN TIME" and Sauron'd out on everyone.

The actors in this show are Serving a HUGE PURPOSE to educate those willing to recieve the light and absorb the moral of the story, the greater purpose, and the message deep within! Whoever refuses the light and shows that portray good and evil have no understanding or knowledge because they are blind to the meaning of it The morals in this story are BEAUTIFUL, THE HATERS ARE PEOPLE WHO GAVE THEIR SOUL SOMEWHERE IN LIFE TO THE DARKNESS AND WHEN THEY SEE LIGHT THEY ARE OPPOSED TO ANYTHING GOOD

Ive never cared so little about seeing a spoiler. I gave up on this show before even finishing the first season. And this scene does not make me regret that decision at all

Tar-Mairon, Annatar, Þauzon, Sauron, Gurthaur... I don't know many other names for him. Þauzon and Sauron are the same name in different dialects of Elvish.

So freaking funny. I don't think he ever lied to her haha. It was just her constnatly dragging him along n putting him in situations that led to this. Anytime he told her the truth she just ignored it haha. Spectular writing 😆

Good thing he wasn't wearing a master disguise, like a wig, there'd be no way of knowing who he was!

He was my favorite character, only because everyone else was fairly unlikeable. Galadriel was insufferable, and I’m glad Sauron came out and said “I never said I was king. That was you. And fighting in the south,ands, that was your idea, too. And I’m way older than you.” Then he turns aside her knife like it’s nothing.

My jaw was on the floor when Sauron said "I am vengeance, I am the night... I AM SAURON" then turned into a giant flaming eye and Sauron'd everyone. Truly a Rings of Power moment.
