I think Netanyahu once said that the people, who doesn't want Palestinians to stay clear in mind and unite to form single government, will be supporting Hamas. Then the recipients of the speech comprehended that the "people" were referring to Israeli right-wing parties. But I would say that the "people" were referring to the Muslims. The reason is that after 1948 war, they had plenty of time to build Palestine, but they didn't. Because they want to remove the Jewish state in the region. If Palestinians were able to settle down and had peace, they might one day decide not to fight Israel anymore. So, they want to hold the status quo just that way, an unsettle "nation", that always act as a disturbance in the region.

Israel gave them the power to govern themselves back in 2005 in the Disengagement Plan and they threw it away by electing Hamas while they know Hamas's ideology was always and will always be to kill all the Jews and destroy Israel. This was their goal all along, people don't care for Israel that's why it's comfortable and easy to bully the small country that is all alone in the middle east surrounded by enemies, and I say enemies because the Arab countries declared wars on Israel time and time again through history ever since 1948 partition plan. Israel is not the enemy of those Arab countries, never was, all they have to do is to stop trying to destroy Israel, but they can't stop the 80 years old narrative, even when there are more than 2 million Muslims inside of Israel, the narrative sticks, they want to kill their Muslim brothers inside of Israel as well. The Bedouin and the Druze inside of Israel to this day are loyal to Israel for protecting them and they serve in the military too, some of the best and most proud units and commanders that I cherish are there, everyone is waiting for the Arab countries to wake up and realize they're killing even their own with their hatred !

No Palestinians in Gaza didn't get their independence. They were not allowed an airport, or seaport. They're disconnected from the outside world because of Israeli tight control on their daily lives in Gaza. Do you call that Independence. Israel left the people of Gaza everything they needed to build the glorious Palestinian state everyone is convinced they need to been happy. Hopes were high there would finally be peace. Israel left them a golden ticket, but as soon as Israel was gone, the Palestinians destroyed everything the Jews had built, killed the livestock they left them, basically threw away their opportunity. They elected Hamas, and started shooting rockets at Israel. So yes, then both Israel and Egypt built walls along the Gaza border and had to tightly control everything that went into and came out of the place to try to prevent weapons from getting in (which ultimately failed). But did you know that for all these years Israel still supplied them with water and electricity for free? If it was a jail it was of their own doing. Choices and actions have consequences. Ultimately in hindsight giving them control of Gaza was a huge mistake.

The airport only shut down when Israel invaded recently. Not to mention the tens of thousands going to Israel every week for work before they decided to try and genocide Israelis. Who speaks on behalf of the Palestinian people? Don't forget a majority of the Palestinians support HAMAS, they voted them in originally so while it sounds like a great idea, I'm not sure it's possible. HAMAS need to be removed entirely and the hostages returned before any serious talks can take place and who knows if and when that will happen. As there are plenty of Arab people living freely in Israel, it makes sense for Israel to ensure GAZA is set on the correct path before handing it back to responsible leadership, if that's such a thing. Getting Gaza back up and running should be an effort from multiple countries in the surrounding area, but these countries closed their borders to the Palestinians as they too fear the terrorism will continue on their land if they were to leave GAZA. Not so straight forward I'm afraid, especially when you're dealing with an ideology / religion that is determined to remove Israel entirely.

First off, there are no ‘Palestinian’ people. That is a made up term that only emerged in the 60’s (for the people of Gaza). And the man who coined the term admitted as much and said it was completely for political clout. Second, Arafat was given a very generous ‘2 state’ solution many years ago. What he did was walk away from the table. Now ask yourself, why do all the neighboring Arab countries refuse to take in these Gazan’s? Because every time they did, these people formed their own armies and caused major problems for the host country. Even Saudi’s won’t take them en mass. When arguably Saudi has the land to create that state.

There was never a Pal State, country, or legitimate government...ever.

but Jordan is the UN mandate for a Palestinian homeland. a Saudi prince took charge and refused Palestinian migration. Once the Brits left Israel, Jordan attacked/made war on Israel. Of the original mandate, Jordan is 80% and Israel is 20%. That was the two state solution. The Palestinians then received Gaza but they chose to make war.
