The Endorphin Pro is finally what I always wanted it to be. The Pro and Pro 2 were too firm so I trained in the Speed and raced in the Alphafly. Now it the Pro 3 all the way! Thanks for the info Edd.

Great information. Thanks! I wish my foot could live in the Vaporfly but there's no allowance for high-arched folks and no room for inner soles. The Pro 3 seems like a much more accommodating fit. Also, love your interweaving of music tips. Sea Song is an epic track! Hits me like a mashup of Slowdive and The Decemberists.

Pros should be in the mailbox. I haven't been this excited for a show since I heard about the endorphin speed 1. Also very much looking forward to the Novablast 3

Great comparison, from your list I have the Speed 3 and Alphafly V1 and Vaporfly.. I had the Pro3 but sent them back because they felt to close to the Speed 2 and NOT close to the Speed 3. I did a few long VO2 and Tempo runs in the Speed 3 and I am underwhelmed. They just don't have the propulsion of the Speed 2. They are softer and very comfortable with the best lock down I ever had. First time after 45 years of running that I don't need to do the running Knot 😁.. I will buy the Pro3 in the future once my Speed 2 die. The Speed 3 does not have the Speed of the 2. That went to the Pro3. So the order is : slowest is Speed 3 ➡️ much faster is Speed 2 ➡️ fastest is Pro 3.

Just ordered Pro 3 instead of Speed 3. The added versatility will be worth it. Thanks for the insights!

Good job yoyo! Got some next% and other versions. Pros 1 was riged for me and stretched fast and lost size. But im going to get some of those new versions. You got me again my freand. 🇵🇷👍🏻💪🏻

The 3 is quite an update. More foam but much more forgiving in terms of underfoot cushion than the 1 and 2.

I have a pair of speed 2s and love them, I also have a pair of Pro 2s unused in the box. Interesting what you say about they're being very little difference between them. Good review

Great comparison Edd! Right now my pinnacle shoe continues to be the Asics Metaspeed Sky v1 having PB'd all my races in it. In fairness I haven't raced in my other supershoes, tho I think the VF2 would fair the closest. I also have the Asics Metaspeed Edge+, and tho smooth, it offers no fun supershoe squash. Picked up the Pro 3 and will try it out in the hopes it will be the ideal successor to my retired Sky

The Asics is still quite a race flat like shoe. Not a very squashy ride. This one is more forgiving in that sense.

@@EDDBUD I appreciate your honest and connaisseur reviews. This one was one I wondering about, and didn't even dream someone would come up with that comparison. I have been running in the Speed V1 for a while and I love its versatility and durability (through 2 pairs already). I tried the Metaspeed Sky V1. Was ok but felt like a lot of shoe under foot. I have the Next % V2, and enjoy it very much for racing. I also have the Puma Velocity V2. Superb shoe. Comfortable, responsive and versatile. But the Speed may be better for the 2h+ runs. Been wondering about Novablast V3 vs Speed 3 for long runs. Folks are raving about the new Nova. But it seems like the Pro 3 could also be considered for long marathon training runs and be used for racing as well. Ah the "tough" life decisions we are faced with 😂

Next % version 1 is about 10 grams lighter than the 2. Still available from Nike outlet stores too. I just picked up a pair for £155.

Loving the Pro 3 so far. That for longer and Adidas TS8 for shorter session are a perfect combination. Have got an unsubstantiated niggle that Nike will widen the base for v3 of vaporfly to make it more suited to mass market. I know I'd certainly benefit from a wider heel and arch, like the Pro 3.

If you have some old school running shoes another great video would be a comparison between vaporfly, alphafly, and pro 3 v the top running shoes from 1980 and 2000, whatever those were. I wonder if the even the worst shoes from today are better than the shoes from just 20 years ago.

I am unaware of this Nigel chap but after having a look it’s quite appropriate!

I think I’d go similar but with the MetaSPEED EDGE+ up to half, half and Marathon Pro 3. Also I think if you can’t work out which ASICS MetaSPEED is going to suit you…you can’t go wrong with the Pro3 instead!

Started using Saucony endorphin series last year, I have both speed 2s and pro 2s (1 marathon left in the pro 2s) definitely planning to get the 3s on both. Personally, I found Nike's elite shoes aren't good for heel strikers as they are to narrow in the heel.

Nice vlog pro 3 is great but the Reebok floatride Energy X is the most underrated shoe on the market. A fantastic shoe that you can do anything in I've run long, easy, tempo and intervals I'm going to race in the Reebok floatride energy X in my next race. 30% off at Reebok with voucher £105 yes sightly heavier 282g uk10.

What a fun video, Edd. The Shure SM 58 looks like it's waiting to be updated because Nike can't make a part 3 worse, it's in a dilemma. However Asics has come a long way in bouncy feel and marathon-paced comfort with the Sky+ (even though the Sky felt more aggressive because of the plate position). Mind you, I love the security of the SM 58 but maybe the Shure Beta A87 sounds brighter despite having to use phantom power (maybe the Adios Pro 3 is that Beta, but the closest thing to the Next seems to be the Sky+). If Asics has made the Endorphine Pro 3 the shoe you are telling us about, things get difficult. I'm hesitant about which mic to pick for heavy metal treble and wish I could scream Vaporfly 3 or Metaspeed Sky + at my next marathon😂😂😉 THANK YOU EDD.

I did pick up Vapor Fly Next %2 a while back and ran a 10 mile race, seemed kinda squishy more than springy so I need to give it more miles maybe. I don't train in it, I train in Endorphin 2s. But I was a bit surprised not to see an adidas supershoe comp in this shoedown. Time constraints? Anyway, always a great review!!!!

Have the sky and adi pro 2 (i like stiffer-ish ride) .......until i got the RC elite 2 and enjoying it immensely. I like the comfort but could be a bit faster . Im looking at this and waiting for the upcoming SC elite then probably will decide as we get these models late and sometime not at all . Also im not a pink type of guy.

Was so looking forward to it, but the new shoe is up 20% in RRP vs that of the Endorphin Pro 2 in my country. 😕

@@EDDBUD yeah, from SGD299 to 359, putting it as the most expensive supershoe in my town, bar the alphafly. Still (from what i read so far) i reckon this is a shout for shoe of the year, along with the Tempus, Novablast 3 and Mach 5.

First couple of runs in the Pro 3 amd I thought that it was going to be a workout shoe only and perhaps worn at the odd race up to Half distance due to heel rub. I haven't had any of that in a 17.5 mile run with 13.1 @ aim MP along with a 20.6 mile run and all of my more recent workouts though. I now need to get some of my upcoming long runs into the Metaspeed Sky+ which was going to be my autumn Marathon race shoe. Now it could be a close call and I am starting to cast an eye on the black version of the Pro 3 to add to my pink ones (so that if I do decide to go with the Endorphin Pro 3 then I can get 50+ miles into them before race day). It is going to be a close call.

Mainly some Jordan’s, air max 90’s or my favourite Lidl slides. Supreme comfort. 🤣👍🏼

I wasn't interested in the Pro-2 because it was so rigid. I get lower leg issues like achilles and pf with rigid shoes, so I save them for race and time trial daze. I'll definitely be checking out the Pro-3 and Asics shoes.

@@EDDBUD I'm anxious to get one in my hands to manipulate and get a feel for how rigid it is. And then if it passes the hand test, on my feet for the foot test. Then on my ears for the hearing test. Don't know if I'll stick my nose into it like some people we know...

Saucony power run foam is the closest on the market to zoom x in my opinion, cushioned yet responsive

The pro 3 is a big step up from my experience

I ended up biting the bullet and buying a pair of these despite not really loving the initial feel when I first tried them on, nor did I like the colour. What a shoe though, very glad I went with it, even the fact that pink was the only version available in the shop. I ran 30km in them at a relatively quick pace and it felt great.

What about the Speed 3 vs the Tempus for daily usage?

I’m am so turn between the vapor flys and the pro 3 they have such similar feel underfoot I do think that they both excel with a faster pace but my biggest concern is durability with the vapor flys not sure that the risk of buying them and having the heel fall off after 25 or so miles is worth it. I don’t know if nike would cover that under warranty or not but I have no doubt that the PRO 3 have a better and more durable out sole thoughts would be helpful? P.s. I would like to have reliable race shoe

Between the Alphafly and Endo Pro3, if all other things were equal who wants to risk-however unlikely-a airpod blowout in an important race? It can’t be that rare since I’ve seen numerous reports of Nike sending people replacement pairs to people because of this happening.

Took my HR 8 weeks to get back to relative normal but a few months more to be 100%.. The strange thing is that you run and feel the same as before but your HR is much higher... Of course it depends how bad you get Covid. My wife was running after a week or so like it never happened.. Then she got Covid for the 2nd time and after a few days running like normal.. 😁

@@i.p2088 yeah mate my heart rate was so high for ages afterwards. Didn't help having a state champs to quickly prepare for in the month after my recovery but I kept getting sick a bit 🤬. Zinc tablets advised from my coach has helped fix me though, heart rate back to normal

The speed is a more useable less rigid model. Loads of people love them for the marathon as they aren’t quite as rigid and a bit more flexible yet still nice and light.

All down to what you like. The less squashy Asics, the middle of the road Adios pro or the more squashy Vaporfly / endorphin. The alphafly v1 is by far the most bonkers of the lot.

Endo Speed would have to be a Shure SM58 for me, Reebok Floatride Energy would be MXL V67G, Vaporflys might be sort of Rode NT1, Adios 5 would be a Neumann U67

I absolutely love the new Speed 3, however unfortunately for me I've had to send them back to start Fitness as the midsole has split after only a few runs in them 😖 So hoping to get a new pair sent next week. In regards to the Pro 3 I'm really undecided as I had the Pro 1&2 and I sold both of them as I just thought they were crap and always preferred the v1 Alphafly

How many miles would you estimate to get out of the endorphin pro 3? For some reason people seem to say carbon plated race shoes only last 100 miles but I can’t quite believe that is true of them all. I would have thought double that or more.

I find they go on and on. Perhaps not quite as rigid as before but some studies suggest the alphafly at 400km was still better than a few day old Vaporfly.

The SM58 is my Nike Lunarglide. Still haven't found anything like it since. A bunch Karaoke mics, really.
