Tim gets all the credit for being the amazing bass for Home Free, and he is. However, Chance doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for being the guy who holds down the bass in a good number of Home Free songs. He may not hit the lowest notes, he may not be as "in your face" a bass as Tim, but he's doing yeoman's work. So, shout-out to the everyman, working away in the background! Chance sang most of the bass on this whole song. He is so talented!

I was a Chance fan before he was in Home Free. This local boy was featured on our local news here in LA (lower Alabama) when he was with Street Corner Symphony and competed on the SingOff. You will have to see Chance with his friends The Hound and The Fox. They form a trio, usually with acoustic guitars. He works with them similarly to how Tim Foust and Peter Hollens work together.

Tim said that the Street Corner Symphony had asked him to join them for The Sing Off, he said no and thankfully he did because Chance may have never joined HF. Tim explains it so much better lol

I love all their voices. Them rotating the lead means that every time another member takes the lead your ears say 'hell yeah'.

I love in this song how Tim and Chance switch back and forth on the bass. It’s a great way to use their voices!

Austin's gospel days really shine in this. And Chance's voice voice has gotten deeper and richer since he and Tim started trading off. These men are so fucking awesome.

Austin is my favorite but Chance is becoming a close second!! Austin just goes full southern gospel on this one!! I love it!!

Home Free makes everything a pleasure to listen to. How beautifully the voices come together here and how good it sounds like a real gospel song. And of course the inhuman beatboxing! I can only say one thing: AMEN!

One of the things I like the most about Tim's deep base is that he doesn't push it at the expense of the music. I do feel sometimes that the deep base singers throw low notes in where it doesn't quite feel right in the music, which throws me off. Tim rarely does that. Nothing too flashy. Just 'there' to support the song. Beautifully done.

Chance has such a smooth voice, peeps tend to forget he holds the bass down when Tim sings 😍 Chance & Fox +Hound singing "Hurt" is a must 🔥🔥

If you check this out live, you'll see that Chance has to pick up that bass line, and it's just as great to listen to. Home Free. They're really not too shabby at all...!!

Chance has a nice voice, I think many people overlook it because contrary to Austins, Robs and Tims voice, there is nothing flashy about it, he has a very conversational sound

Chance's voice is what I call whiskey smooth. That is actually Chance doing the bass line in most of this song. Most want to call him a baritone since he took over Chris's place in the band but he is actually a true bass. He was with a group called Street Corner Symphony that performed on the 2nd season of the Sing Off and came in 2nd.

One of my favorite "ear worms" 😆 Once I hear Adam's percussion on this one it replays in my head for the rest of the day ❤️🎼🥰🎶❤️ (And I love HF's attention to details--they consistently put forth the effort with creative touches like the old tv look/old radio sound that IMHO put their music and videos on a level above all others. 🥇)

I think the reason it takes people a while to hear how special Chance's voice is, is because it takes a bit of time to learn all of the content. But, WOW! Funny story about Adam's beatboxing. Had watched them nightly online for a couple years or so before we got to go to a live show. I watched The Sing Off, watched all the live shows people posted, etc. So I KNEW no instruments. The first show we went to they started singing in the dark and my husband said, I thought they didn't use instruments. I literally sat there so puzzled saying I know, I'm not sure what's going on (because it sounded like he always does, like instruments!). Then the lights came on and we saw them on the stage and doing it all like always with voices only! So even after following them and watching everything the put out you can still go to their concert and be shocked there are no instruments! lol! Take care and keep them coming! We're with you on the journey.
