I get why they did it, but you know what was the greatest thing to ever happen to black metal? When the founding bands of the genre realised that you don't have to play at hypersonic speed to be in an extreme metal band. This song, for example, is as evil as fuck and it slows down and GROOVES. The music has room to move, to breathe. And I love it...

You only appreciate something fully when you appreciate it's opposite. And I think it's cool to change things up. It's just more interesting to me. That's how I am.

These guys ROCK!!🤘🇳🇴I love Satyricon. I met Satyr in Seattle WA in 2009 at a concert. He was very nice to me. And I love Frost. Incredible drummer! Nobody does it like Norway!

Haven’t heard this song for 15 years, man what a rediscovery!

Ive been listening to them from most recent albums to first. Every album is really strong. Wow.

KZread has been continuously recommending me Satyricon videos for the past 3 days. Google's consumer data collection works amazingly.

Their musicianship and videos are amazing. It's hard not to be drawn into this music and i never listen to black metal. Great bands do that to you.

I discovered Black Metal in the month of March 1997. I was 16 years old and already a diehard Metal music fan. But my big brother (RIP man) has been coming back to home with something that I was aware for having heard about Black Metal in Norway and lots of things that I don't need to tell, we're all knowing what it is, but also heard about something totally different, very great and extreme both. What he was bringing home was still a new release at this moment. An album called Nemesis Divina. And the very first one Black Metal band I listened and who changed my musical life forever is Satyricon! Just saying, my brother made Mother North playing firstly, so it's my very first BM song I payed a real attention to. And still my favorite song ever, but I discovered a lot of other stuff in this universe. I saw you twice in Montréal, it means 7 hours on the road to me to go down south in this town of my country (Canada), but I did it in 2018, so much more than a single great show, closed the front of the scene, in the first row! I cannot wait to see what you'll have to bring nextly, and be sure I'll do another road trip to see you, who is my favorite band overall, you made me discover Black Metal, and at 41 now I am still there, nothing changed in my mind, musical tastes and look!! Hails from Canada to Norway! 🇳🇴 🤘 🇨🇦

crazy is subjective, Black Metal was created by people who you would deem as "crazy" & i'm more than sure they wouldn't have wanted you listening to it.
