Bought my daughter an electric blue 2004 Saturn Vue for her upcoming 16th birthday. It's a beautiful car and I enjoyed driving it home. I can't wait to surprise with it.

Kris Unknown The visibility and the ease of just daily driving makes it an amazing first car. I was borrowing my brothers BMW the other day and the visibility (compared to the Saturn) is like looking out of the hole of a shoebox...

I had a 2002 Saturn VUE that I purchased brand new - it lasted me 17.5 yrs with two rebuilt transmissions (the first one was covered by the warranty) - I had the same issue with the trunk that you have - decent car that lasted me longer than I thought it would...

I’m glad I’m not the only one with this car 😭

Best review of a Saturn Vue ever. I’ve got an 03 Vue same color as yours.

Brodog Entertainment aw man that sucks. Mine is the 3.0 V6 currently has just over 139,000 miles. Still runs like a champ. I love the plastic doors and quarter panels. Never get a dent in any parking lots lol

Andrew Kruczko Oh so you got the one with the big motor? That’s nice! congrats. Yeah mine has around the same miles and my throttle body just went out so if you have any problems with acceleration in the next 10,000 miles or so, expect it to be the throttle body around those miles...

ChucklesTheCheat FaultzGaming Congrats on the upgrade, honestly I think the Saturn ion is so hideous. Just don’t like how rounded everything looks on the interior. And how the gauges are in the middle.

My son first car also....2006...i still have it 5years in the road and 168k running strong, my goal is to put 200k miles.. lets hope the little 2 litter ecotech made it. ..( the best thing is to replace the oil filter from the top)

E. RiVeRa Just keep your throttle body and oil in check, you should make it to 200k!

I got the 2007 model of this. The year before they did the big Redesign to the vue. Though my vue looks completely different then your vue. The steering wheel and the dash layout vent shapes are all different the front looks completely different besides maybe the headlights.

I got a 04 vue but the v6, it zooms man I race everybody that tries the vue, I also got 8 6.5s in it along with 8 tweeters and 2 12’s. I have 2 15s I’m going to put in and replace the 12s with when I get paid, all I need left is the amp and 0 gauge wires for it.

shocked to see you don’t have the dvd player and screen that folds down from the roof for backseat passengers

What is the status on the transmission problems this vehicle is known for. Just seen one for a pretty good price but the transmission history has me worried?

Sorry for not replying sooner. But if you are going to buy one, get a manual V6 if possible. The transmission blew up on this car multiple times (including under my ownership). And the 4 cylinder has so little power that it WILL have a hard time with accelerating to freeway speeds on an on ramp.

I have a similar Saturn modal, mine is a 2007 outlook, the only difference is the vue is a 2 row and the outlook is a 3 row, so there's really no big difference, well then again the I'm wondering the battery is cause the one in mine is under the passenger seat

Flaming Savage Yeah, at first I honestly thought it was really slow, but it’s actually not bad. Pretty fast for what it is...

I’ve had 3 Saturn cars in my life time and all 3 where just a nightmare.

This will be my first car in a year, but mine is a 2006 v6 awd version. But that’s a nice car.

That's what I have

Get a volt meter, a Mechanic's tool set and subscribe to Chris fix and Scotty Kilmer. Change oil every 3 to 5 k and check levels monthly to determine if anything leaks.
