Saturn was the first song by Sleeping At Last I ever heard. When I stumbled on it randomly a few years ago, I didn't know what a treasure I'd discovered, but by the end of the song I was in tears. SAL is basically the soundtrack to my life now. Each song is nothing short of a masterpiece, there's such care and attention to the minutest details. It amazes me how Ryan can put the perfect words to things I've always felt but could never express. He takes humanity's deepest soul cries and weaves them into a few lines of lyrics. His music invents new feelings in me. The only way I can describe it is that it gives me memories of things that never happened and makes me miss what I've never had.

It's sadness, but it's hope. It's suffering, but it's peace. It's longing, but it's contentment. It's grieving, but it's acceptance. It's heartache, but it's mending. This song can only be described as indescribable. The thoughts and feelings it incites in me are so contradictory, that I never quite understand my emotions afterwards. I think it's truly powerful that a song can do that.

This is the first song I heard after my grandmother died from alzheimers. I was very close to her. Probably closer to her than my own mother. And I'm also a competitive dancer. When we were getting our solos I was told "Averie, your solo will be called Saturn." And I just started balling right then and there. The first time I performed it, I actually started crying, but I kept going and ended up getting first place overall. And every time I had performed it I got in the top 3. I feel like my grandmother was with me every single time I did it. And I'm not saying this for anyones sympathy, nor do I wish for your sorrow. I just thought I would share this story because my emotional connection to this song is very strong for this reason. Thank you for reading, stranger from KZread, I really appreciate more than you think I do.

There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. I lost my grandmother this past Valentine's Day. She lived in Europe so I couldn't be there for the funeral and to say a proper goodbye. Over the last several years she had been living with dementia and so when I visited I would see her fade more each time. She could no longer recognize me, but instead kept looking for the "little me" from when I was 4 or so. It broke my heart. And despite her passing hitting me so hard, a small part of me is relieved to know she's not hurting anymore. She's at peace. I know this song off by heart. When I saw this upload I decided to give it a new listen and ended up bawling. I can't help but think of her. How true these words are. She lived through so much. She had to grow up during WW2, lived under the USSR, lived a hard life on a farm and worked tirelessly to provide for her family. I learned so much from her and what it means to find strength and beauty in life. If only I had paid more attention. Maybe I should've written her words down- but you think there's always more time. As a kid you think there's all the time in the world. But then the person you love begins to fade away before your eyes and you come to the harsh reality that the one thing we never have enough of IS time. I'm so happy for all the moments I spent with her. I'm so happy and proud to be her granddaughter. If I go on to be a quarter of the woman she was I will have lived a fulfilling life. She was such a beautiful woman. I only wish I could've had more time. At least this song brings a small bit of comfort. "Light carries on endlessly, even after death". She may be gone, but her legacy lives on, her love lives on, her kindness lives on. And I will try my hardest to carry on that light to my grandchildren someday far away. Thank goodness for songs like these. They touch the heart and soul in a way few songs do.

This song brings me to so many places. It reminds me of my parents. I miss them so much. whenever I listen to this, I wonder where they are right now? Sometimes I can feel them.. it's like meeting them again someday. I have no words to describe that feeling. Sometimes it scares me when I think about the existence of life and the universe. where's the end? Is death just another begining? If it is, how many lives have we lived? Is this a never ending circle? There's beauty in life but being stuck in this feels like a never ending suffering.

I believe in the reincarnation theory, that, at some point in time, your spirit - but not mind and body - are sent back down to Earth to relive another life as someone or something else. I think the reason for this is because the universe is trying to teach us something new in each life we live, to learn and grow differently, and to experience emotions that we didn't get to before. You cannot simply do everything there is in your lifetime, so being able to do what you haven't done in another time period gives you that closure and chance, even if when you die, you'll never know that you did any of that since your mind, memories and body are given up and sacrificed so your spirit can continue on. We all are eternal beings, but we have an end to that eternity when we decide it's ready to go and start anew - so I don't believe it's a neverending cycle of suffering, rather it's a journey to understand the meaning of the Universe that we reside in, and until we find that out, we'll continue the cycle of life forever.

True beauty of life is found only in Jesus. What he came to do for man on the cross was to make a way for us, that through him, we will be saved and through him we can find true purpose in this world and eternal life in heaven. In Christ, death is just the beginning of eternity in heaven. And you don't have to be afraid, because you would know through faith in him, who has conquered sin and death, through which the world and and all creation was made, that after life on earth, you can have everlasting life in heaven with him. The creator of the universe. It is a beautiful thing. Believe in Jesus, allow him to show you what life really is and what lies ahead of you. He loves you🙂 This is actually what this song is reflecting to me, the beauty of the life Christ came to give to man.

@@jesusislord5543 Amen. I feel much the same. "The universe was made just to be seen by my eyes" reminds me so much of how God created everything. He made it all, and he made us. Before my best friend passed away unexpectedly she kept telling me, "my Saturn is rising." When I saw this song title I felt her instantly within me. As I sat in the feels crying, I realized how infinite her love is, then the crescendo, by this point you had me in tears.... Then you sang.... You sang her song as I thanked the Universe for her infinite love and wisdom. Thank you for delivering her message, on the wings of an angel. I will never forget the first moment I heard this song.

Living as a human can be so damn hard sometimes...but moments like this, watching this video, listening to this song, reminds me of the indescribable beauty that can only be created by a human soul. I used to listen to this song as I walked the streets commuting during my university experience. Sometimes, this song would come on in my playlist - at the perfect moment. One of those moments would be walking at dusk, the city lit up by the building lights, and a cold, magical chill in the air from the changing weather. I love this song in the purest of ways.

I heard this song for the first time 6 and a half years ago through a fanfiction that I have been rereading for 6 and a half years because it got me though high school, as did this song. There is nothing in the world that gets me quite like this, it's my go to breakdown song, it's my go too happy song, it's my go to whenever I feel emotions that I can processes on my own because even though everything around me might change, this song and the safety I feel listening to it is real and never changing. I wouldn't trade the knowledge of this song for anything at all and this lyric video is so beautiful, it fits so well. I love it.

One moonless night I was lying in a meadow at 9,000 feet staring up at the sky. I came to tears as I suddenly remembered this song. Here is an excerpt from my diary... "As I looked up, I was completely engulfed by the scene laid before me. A vast canopy of countless stars so dense, so bright with the Milky Way arcing across the sky like a river of light. The power of it all was so deafening for my senses. Every inch of sky packed with billions of points of light all radiating down to my eyes. And here I was, right in the middle of it..so infinitesimally small. Why? Then I remembered a lyric from a song I heard.. “we were made to see the universe through our eyes” and it completely overwhelmed me to tears as I sat there relaying it all back to the universe through my soul." It's interesting that I remembered the juxtaposition of that lyric different. It's keeping with my belief in my higher self as energy in the universe and my physical body was made to give form to this energy that I am always connected to and we are all connected together with. So in that sense, the universe did make us to not only to be able to feel alive but also to be able to see itself through our eyes. And here I was sitting before all this grandeur of granite peaks and endless light and relaying all back. ..Peace..
