Love the video. You know you're watching a real mechanic when they talk shit to whatever they're working on.
Todd seems both, inconvenienced and indifferent at the same time, i couldn’t stop watching 😅

I love this comment so much
I don't own a Sportster or any kind of Harley, but I could watch Todd work on a coffee maker and still be entertained. It's amazing how cheap you can find a used Sportster with low miles. For a beginner like me, I'd be taking tons of photos as I took stuff apart...so I could remember how it goes back totether.
Yes, more build series! Your Triumph 650 engine build serie was big help when I was rebuilding my Harris Triumph.
This is so great. I picked up a 96 Sportster a few months back, and it is my 1st bike. As I really don't know much about wrenching it yet, This video pretty much shows me how to take it apart, with real time video. I know its kinda a fun "lets rip this f'n thing apart" video for you, but it's actually very educational for me. Thank you! Happy New Year! Looking forward to watching this build!

These old rigid mount sportsters are pretty easy to work on. I've had my '99 model since new and it's been a great bike, and I've done all the work on it myself. I know it inside and out after all these years. They are very solid bikes. Hope you enjoy yours!

I did the same. A 96 sportster in late spring. U can see it in my YT profile. I started to rebuild it. Will finish in spring. Too cold here in Norway wintertime. Can I see your ? Please
I’m so ready for this series!!! Thank you for doing this. I love project build series, and a tracker is exactly what I need to build!
So glad to see you guys working on older bikes, lots of channels only show upgrades on new bikes guys like me can’t afford to buy
Todd makes this work, pretty sure I would watch him disassemble pretty much anything.
This was like watching Gilbert Godfrey cook a Christmas dinner on Snoop Dogs West Compton Christmas Special!!!🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏼👍🏻🙏🏻❤️
Man, this was so enjoyable to watch and I love Todd's personality. Looking forward to the finished ride. Woo!!!
WOW a 100th anniversary for $2,400 with under 5k. That’s a great deal. That would get 4-6k in my area right now.

5 mins in and todd's already throwing F bombs and parts across the shop. i love this channel.
I don't even own a Harley but it's Todd so of course I'm watching.
Love some sportsters and this series is a kick butt idea! Thanks!
This is great, can’t wait to see the finished product.
This is going to be a great series.... love the old-school pneumatic ratchet
Nice modifications… will follow along
I enjoy watching this stuff anyways, but he just brings something else to it. Loved the video and love lowbrow!!!
Wooeee! Just acquired a bone stock, all original, less than 200 miles, always garaged, 02' XL1200 to do the same thing with. This is gonna be fun, seein how what yur gonna do differs from my ideas,
Would not have made it all the way to the end without the "wooo's"! Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️!
Not sure if I'm watching Todd at work.. or - Smash Fishing . Whoo!
First of all, Lowbrow, PLEASE don't let Todd leave. He is by FAR one of the coolest guys on the web. What I wouldn't give to be able to hang around him and soak up some of that Harley knowledge. Sooner or later, I'm going to buy an old Sportster and do what he is doing, but maybe in just a little different fashion. I will follow along every step of the way because it seems that I learn best by watching. It sounds like you are going to put more $$$ into the bike than what you paid for it. That Hooligan kit isn't cheap, as are some of the other parts. Thank you, Lowbrow. This series will be awesome and by having Todd do it; it'll be even cooler. Thank you again and Happy New Year. Eric in Kissimmee Fl. PS: WOO !!!!!
“HAPPY NEW YEAR”! Guys! Rock on Todd! Gonna be righteous!
this great im hooked already even though ive been watching todds videos for a while now its like watching someone paint a picture
I've been inspired. I have a '94 sporty in the shed...
Yees! Needed this series! Have a 03 1200 also, just changed out the ignition module yesterday, notorious to fry on these. Got a Daytona Twin tec, runs better than ever. Cant wait to see you guys put your touch in this baby. Happy new years guys, have a good one!
Craigslist and marketplace are gonna be lit out there
Thanks for the videos, Todd is the man WOO!! Love the hard tails and all of the crazy builds people do but it’s refreshing to see a scrambler (something different).
Todd is my inspiration! Great vid! Cheers from Brazil! Much love guys 🙌👏🔩🛠
This brought back some memories. I haven't laughed so hard in ages. I kept remembering pains in the ass about the same time he started bitching about them.
There needs to be a count on the bottom of the screen for every "whooo!" Lol. Sweet series and so refreshing to see all the trials and troubles that we see in real life when taking apart an older bike.
What a great Lowbrow Customs project ... look forward to watching it evolve. I've got a '86 Liberty Edition 1200 Sportster, a '09 883 Sportster & a '95 Dyna Lowrider. Always thinking about getting another Sportster to wrench on to make into a custom off road scrambler or adventure bike... this definitely was an awesome step-by-step tear down video to give me more inspiration and motivation ... just wish I had a garage, a lift & more tools.
That was deal! I'd love to find a Sportster in that condition for that price.
I am wanting to do a sportster build. Really looking forward to following this series of videos! Thanks for sharing!
I just picked up a very similar sportster. Watched the “what to look for video” on my way to pick it up. It helped a ton just making sure I wasn’t getting a project. I’m excited to mod it!
I like these videos. Just like hanging out in my buddies garage. Cool vibe and good info. Thanks for making these.
I just bought my second bike and its an 05 sportster 1200. Ive been looking up videos to learn more about them because I of course started on a Rebel 250! But I just wanted to say how easily these videos are to follow. TODD IS AWESOME! Thanks so much for the knowledge
Great to see you back in Ernest. Love your channel.
Great idea for a show guys!
FINALLY. TODD IS BACK!
Great video brother! I love the way u commentate the video. Thank you and happy new year
Great Video!,
Thank you:) Enjoy your videos!!! Keep it up please!
Instead of using an adjustable wrench on the screw driver shaft you can use a box end wrench on the handle that’s why the handles are shaped the way they are, love the content keep up the good work brother
Hell yeah. I just bought a new sportster as my first bike and I want to learn how to how to modify it cause I know you guys carry tons of aftermarket parts. Thanks for the great content
Great idea guys!
This is gonna be an AWESOME series!!! sportsters are under rated, I love my 1200 with all the LOWBROW parts and goodies , pushing 100hp right now, not bored out or big bore kit., yet ; )

Happy New year to you and your family !! (9 days late ,but it's the thought that counts) ,excellent video
Really like to see this stuff broken down, alot of it can feel inaccessible to the beginner. Keep it up 😁
So helpful to find this series Recently got a 2000 handed down for my first bike and so much to learn but this seems like a great place to do it! 👏
*Nice job men!* Greetings from Germany !
Thank you, Todd for all of your great work and jobs well done and for helping me with working on my, Saturday Sporster, I need all the help I can get and you are the Technician that has all the information that I need, keep up the great work 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🏁🏁🏁💯💯💯💥💥💥
Thanks for the video..had trouble with my 02 last season..shoved her in the shed lost faith in it..but you rekindled the spark. gonna give it a go again. got a link to auction site
cool Todd, looking forward to it.
Hello, new favorite series on KZread.
This series is going to help me a lot. Thanks!
Badass ... I don't know why this was put into my feed, but I'm glad it was. I had a Sportster Custom in the days of waiting lists and 5k-over-list stealerships, '99 or '00? Had the Sportster for 2 years and went to a FX. But 8 bikes later, and in my 60s, ya know which bike I want back out of all of them?

Entertaining and informative.. in the end it will be a fun ride, I'm sure 🤙
Just bought this bike for two grand I'm glad I found this series
Keep making these videos!
This should be a great series
Great Video,I 'm building a Bobber on my KZread channel and watching is giving me ideas. I'll be watching more!
This is awesome! Keep it up 👍🏼
This is such weird timing. Subscribed very recently and I picked up a daily double, two for the price of one set of sportsters day before Christmas Eve. One 1998 883 and one 2001 1200, both bikes for $2,100. The plan is to build the 883 into a street tracker … and I already have parts in route and have videos planned for each piece and day of the build! Should be fun to watch this one come together as mine comes to life as well. If the timing wasn’t weird enough for me of this video… the 1200 had old haggard saddle bags with a 10mm wrench, a Phillips head screw driver, Ibuprofen and a set of glasses. Feel like I was having dejavu watching this 😂
1:40 good grief, I just bought my first 2014 883 Stage1 and paid exactly 10k CAD lol XD may have been overpriced a bit at the dealer, but the bike is freaking clean and I love it. I'm gonna keep it for a year and swap trade that for a bigger one next summer! WoO!
Lolol Great show man and Kool Sportster. Love my LOWBROW CHOPPER
Wow,amazing 👋👋
Nice. A good breakdown series. I missed the purchase video, is it an 883? WOOO!

Thanks for the great tutorial. I’m thinking about maybe doing something very similar to this build using my 04 deuce fxstdi.
I appreciate the info video on how to check a sportster I'm use it when I buy one in the spring
This is great entertainment! 👍
You make it look easy!
This dude is my spirit animal
Dude just found this and love this dude haha. So real. Was positive about taking bags off then sounded like me when lmao
Wish I still had my 2003 loved it
I've been a professional motorcycle mechanic for a few months now. Before that I was a professional auto mechanic for over a decade. I also constantly wonder what Harley Davidson was thinking when they designed their bikes.
Love the videos and reggae music. Just got myself a 2007 1200c
If I'm not doing some fab work or modifications to my own bikes, I'm watching somebody else do it on youtube.
i'd like to chop an 03 and keep the anniversary badges just to piss some people off while also having a newer carbed chopper
I'll be a sub from now on. I'm slightly restoring my '04 1200r . Allready done the bars now I'm also powder coating the wheels and changing the stg 1 elements.
"What the f*** is going on here!" Really captures the true nature of working on bikes. Hahaha!
Todd is a funny guy "rubber baby buggy bumper" - "ride to lunch" I gotta see how this ends 😄
Todds a riot.😂
I'm moving to the States, a 2003 Sporster for less than $3000 😲 try south of $6500 in England and that bike is mint compared to what you would find over here, it would look like it was built in 93 nevermind 03, bad winters, salty roads,,,,. We don't all ride sports bikes in the UK and a HD is great for bombing around town on, just so expensive.
Excited af for this series. I have an '03 sporster as well same exact set up, its my first bike so this will be invaluable to me! How did you get the rear turn signals off i've been stuck trying to figure it out for a whiles now. Thanks!
@lowbrowcustoms
2 жыл бұрын
Cut the wires underneath the fender, and then they should spin off totally. it wasn't done right on our bike, because you should be able to unplug from the harness and then spin the turn signals to loosen and take off and feed the wire through.
I love this dude
I love hearing him swear at the bike trying to remove shit, I'm glad I'm not the only one I have same year model and it pisses me off everytime I work on it🤣
I think I may order a set of front and rear tires like that I've got an old Softail from the '90s but I get caught on dirt roads a lot I've got to check to see if they'll fit the front tire too cuz sometimes tires are front tire specific and I have Fat boy rims on my bike
Just picked up a 99 sportster custom (I think) with 12k miles on it for $2,000. Has dual front discs and an oil cooler!? It’s a nice burgundy/purple color. Sweet bike.
I built longer battery cables that make it easier to install the battery
pretty cooooooool
Where are the parts listed? I might be interested in that Exhaust! Definitely will be an entertaining series! Thanks Todd!

WOO! :)
When you washed the bike with the seat off...how did you protect the electrical stuff under the seat?
