Great memories evoked here of Saturday mornings at the ABC Huddersfield. We never sang the ABC Minors song to a recording as we were very lucky to be able to sing it to a 3/8 Wurlitzer.

Always better live David. I was a member of the Musicians Union for many years whose slogan was "Keep Music Live". I'm sure everyone will agree with that! PAUL.

We only had it on screen at The the Regal Gravesend ( ABC minors)... but finding this posting has brought many happy memories of those long gone days.... and got me going through an old suit case, full of stuff my mum left behind. and sure enough, I found my old ABC minors badge ! Bit rusty now, ( like me).. a nice find.

@@melcomepay6668 Hi Melcome Pay, So pleased you enjoyed this video. Things were certainly different when we were growing up in the 1950's, especially "Freedom" to roam! We used to go out for the day on our bikes with supplies of "Pop and Sandwiches" and as long as we got back before dark, no one asked where we had been or what we had been doing. Really "Happy Days"! @@ComptonLodgeStudios Memories are precious yes our lot really were free to roam. I used to love sitting by our coal fire in the winter smokey. but cosy. My gran would try to draw up the flame by putting a sheet of newspaper over it, result? The paper caught fire. That's a baby Boomer memory..

Oh yes, well rembersd 6d to get in..also we had badges a d membership cards, . Some ABC Cinemas would hold compettitions, including my favorite, A best guy fawkes comp. I st prize, a nice box of fireworks.
