Agreed Hinchy, I don’t think some realize that the more people don’t play by the rules the quicker Summernats will end up as a static car show with a burnout comp. Respect the cruise and go chuck a burnout in skid row 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, on the positive great skid and thanks for the vid!

As an American have to say one of my favorite events in the world every year!!! Amazing show put on even if short lived!!

I’m super sad we don’t have anything this cool in the states. Not even the Cletus & Cars events don’t hold a candle to Summer Nats. Aussie car culture is Insane & off the chain.

Man, some of the stuff uploaded to Insta overnight was WILD! Dudes were getting loose AF. Like normal, it seems like a good idea at the time, but as a new day shines light on the situation I think there'd be a few people regretting some of their choices. All part of growing up I guess, lol.

There’s definitely going to be temporary fences on tough street and Main Street next year. The people standing all over the roads is going to have ruined it for all of us.

Dude we were sitting on the fence in the V8 Bar next to and across the road from some of the funniest most relentless skid negotiators I've seen at Summernats and then the skids grew = crowd grew = shit grew loose real quick

I think you’ll find its the morons doing skids on Tuff St cruise route is who will get it canned mate…. Simple rules, yet these simpletons could not follow them…. So sad the the younger gen today think there no consequences for breaking rules…. The scene doesnt need muppets like that making everyone else look like stooges

I've been slowly doing up my L98 Clubsport mockup beast but not for a burn out car a show car on my channel check it out loving it man. Could confidently predict more restrictions every year, even without any problems. Pretty sure Summernats has always been adding more rules, which is what lead to the mess that Skid row currently is. Just look at the trend with Motorsport in general (noise restrictions, EPA/political overreach) Not saying the stupidity is justified in any way (because it isn’t) but there is always a reason for certain cultures starting/growing

The biggest restriction is the insurance company. If anyone is at risk and a chance of injury then it needs to be shut down. Only way to shut it down is to stop the cars from cruising. Didn't help that it was a sell out on Saturday, the punter/security ratio was way off.

What camera are you using to film

Summernats 2023 was overcrowded there's nowhere to sit and eat or take a break you're pretty much standing and walking around all day with no shade it was a joke on Saturday to see a near empty stand right in front of the burnout pad with only 10 people while hundreds were standing on the other side and struggling to see anything without jumping on someone shoulders

Next year is gonna be the first time I try hit summernats, surely they don't cancel it

Large crowds + 3days of drinking + rowdy cars (2700 cars entered) It's gonna get rowdy by the end. Fairly typical of the event, usually great until things are coming to a close, then a few dickheads cause trouble.

From some of the other tubers it showed a couple of cars got kicked out (to large a burnout in the lane) The one first sent out was Mazda RX3 and that ticked off the crowd so then it escalated.
