The first All Blacks clip is a absolute thing of beauty. The fact that the opponent was the wallabies shows how glorious it is.
That Japan try vs South Africa still one of my favourites to this day. The context in the game and the World Cup, just awesome!

Some turnaround when you think about it since then from SA. That was a major low point and they’re world champions

And what's ironic is the fact that they won the world cup in Japan 4 years later. They got their revenge in best way possible

Agreed... Must've felt so good executing that set play.
Makes such a change from “ Big hits” compilation. This is the rugby I dreamed off and as an old man, still do. That Japan try.........magic! I arrived in Brighton an hour after the whistle. The Japanese were celebrating in their beautifully polite quite way.....the Bok fans were vitriolic in their critique of the coaching staff!
You can't beat those flowing movements of the old footage, 0:01, 5:36, and 7:00 That was the free flowing Rugby I loved and played.
Great video. Love the range of plays and teams.
It was actually really satisfying, great collection and accurate title ,👍🏿
I hope you make more videos under this title as there have been Soo many great set piece tries
nice video love the oldies too
What improved things was the joyful tune playing throughout.

Thats why calling to Rugby as TEAM WORK!
great video
Sudden onset cataracts at 6:55
Its a thing of beauty when it all comes together right as planed. Can also look like a trainwreck when nothing sticks. When the Team's like a well oiled machine all parts of the team playing their part game in game out hard work all together. Thats when they win finals and trophies its the hole Team working as one. The All Blacks have done it better than any other team. Ive watched it unfold on our team many times. When they all fire up together their near perfect. Unstopable the Aussies in the mid to late 90s they were an awsome side aswell near perfect. The good old days.
so pretty! ^^
Nice Glasgow Warriors move by Exeter
The first one is the best set play you'll ever see...

Great video but CJ standers try for Ireland vs England in the 2018 six nations should be in this video
So many forward passes, but damn that nonu pass!

Forward is define by putting the referential at the passer. If the ball goes backwards compare to the passer at the exact moment it leaves his hand, this is legal. But that was an interesting referee question that came back up recently
Japan: kings of the set piece play
Nice. You missed Scott Gibbs at Wembley 1999(?)
as a football fan, I was wondering about players lifting up others on the corner to make a head towards goal or to defend it, but then again I remember we had CR7 jumping at almot 3m
Barassi's try against Australia 😏
They all worked cos nearly everyone involved crossing!
since when was a chip over the top part of a set play?
Can we please ban Alan Walker's "Faded" from highlight compilations from now on? kthanksbye
1:55 XD
Japan set piece was dope...bt Fiji vs France was special
My reaction after every play: Fuck me thats textbook
W杯2015ジャパンのトライ取り上げてくれてありがとうございます😊 出来れば五郎丸選手の大地殴りまで入れて欲しかったです。
Somany forward passes, and the Japanese try was off a very non-central lineout throw
3.47 forward?
George north!!!
how many forward passes and crossings were ignored

Is it me or is every single try made by the good o’l number 11
Is it just me or are half of these off a forward pass?
Just a reminder England fans, the Japanese side who beat SA were coached by Eddie Jones.

Loved the rugby, but couldn't tolerate the "music", if it deserves that name. Bummer.
But why do we have to listen to that dentist drill music?
.
Great clips.....but that music (if you can call it that) is irritating beyond belief
Not really part of the set play if you have to chip and rely on the bounce.
The try of NZ againt France (2011) should not be in this video, as it shouldn't have been awarded.

@@leopoldberger9037 Whatever. Tell me whether Gael Fickou was onside when he caught the ball from the lineout throw that led to Penaud's try. Oh, give your reason as well to support your conclusion.
are rugby players too dumb to run complicated misdirection plays all the time? why are these so rare? my club team couldn't handle more than one of these but surely pros could
@McDJNomi

1. you have to set a pattern so the defense thinks they know what you will do and try to be aggressive, thats when you can take advantage of people coming out of the line. 2. international rugby is a game of the tightest margins. everything has to be timed precisely. so it has to be prepared well, in the right situation, everyone has to be in position and know what will happen, and then they have to execute it almost perfectly. 3. you cant use those set plays too often. if it deems very dangerous most teams will counter it after seeing it being used in one game. so you have to come up with new ones and they take time to train and come up with. 4. those set plays are sometimes quite a risk to loose possession

There's not enough space in a flowing game and set piece defence is pretty stringent too these days. Timing is generally everything when calling set plays.
