I used to get annoyed when it seemed like they’d do all the small ones first and the big ones very last, but now that i’m thinking about it, it actually makes a lot of sense because the big ones bleed a lot and when there’s blood everywhere even if it’s just dried or little stains it’ll be harder to get to the smaller ones

I've heard them say they leave the bigger ones for last because they create a lot of blood. slippery conditions and an overall mess that would make piercing/pinching the little ones harder.

I think they believe getting all of the blood out of the area reduces the bump, + fixed the discoloration, and also gets rid of “bad blood” which I understand the logic, but the truth is it’s not Medically accurate. At least on a western standpoint! But this isn’t western medicine, or “medicine” at all haha. Shes a Esthetician!!

My thoughts on that: 1. She seems to know when there is more stuff in there. Personally I love it when a glob comes out after 10 or 15 squeezes, you know it was all worth it. 2. Getting the majority of the blood out leaves the skin with less bruised discoloration because it’s not just pooling under the skin. I started doing that when I get a big one and it looks better afterwards than it used to when I didn’t do that.

I have sympathy with your patients. I do not have acne but, I am a fellow sufferer because of eczema. There is no spa where I can get treatment for my condition.

The fact is, if you watch enough of these videos, you discover that this is a common practice in Vietnamese Spas. You don't see it done by actual Dermatologists, elsewhere. Blood letting IS a medieval practice largely abandoned by medicine. I'm simply curious as to why they do it here, not passing judgement. Do they know something doctors don't? Or is it just a local traditional practice like, say, chewing betel nut is in certain places?

@im4samtra Am I communicating with someone who understands the English language?. Do you understand what asking a question is? Bullying... Are you serious? Is this how you react anytime another person says: "That's different! Why do you do that?" Leeching and bleeding have not been modern medical practice, for centuries. Like believing everything is caused by an imbalance of the bile or Autism is demon possession is not modern practice. If Thuy's customers expect to be bled and believe it helps them, it's their blood and choice. If they are convinced it helps, I am curious why if medical doctors don't. But please don't pretend you think this still happens in a doctor's office everywhere. You are aware of blood-borne disease, like HIV and the dangers of splashing it around when not necessary, right?
