Some people like to use microphones on their tools or even overlap sounds with the video to amplify the sounds to give a better asmr effect, its often used in asmr close-up shots!

Some of the sounds are overlaid, like the sound of the pencil marking on the skin. Others are real yet amplified like that of what the comment above mine explains. 😊
