இந்த பாடலின் ஆரம்ப வரி மாற்றப்பட்டது. எத்தால் நானடியேன் என்றில்லாமல் எத்தால் நாயடியேன் என்று இருந்தது. அந்த அளவுக்கு தாழ்மையை இந்த பாடல் உருக்கியது. அவ்வளவு நன்றியை இந்த பாட்டு சொல்லியது. பின்னால் வந்த கிறிஸ்தவர்கள், அவர்களை நாய் என்று சொல்ல கூச்சப்பட்டர்கள் என்னவோ ! நாயை நான் என்று மாற்றி விட்டார்கள். என்னவோ, நமக்கு கிடைத்த அவரது அலாதி கிருபையை இவ்வளவு சொல்லிய இந்த பாடல் இன்றும் பேசுகிறது என்று சந்தோசம்.
