Today is The Gunman's 3rd birthday, on this day in 2014 I uploaded my first edited video as The Gunman, this is also my 400th upload. Big thanks to everyone for helping make this channel what it is today. I must admit I woke up this morning all excited so I could share this video.

I have this and the hvlp one. I use the hvlp for lacquer or wet on wet. and the b-rp for base. I can tell you that the hvlp is a beast spraying, has a bit wider fan than the b-rp. and you only need 1,8 2 bar. if you like this one I recommend you the hvlp. price aside, them guns ar great, light weight. congrats on your 3 years KZread anniversary.

Congrats on the 400th upload and the birthday!! Keep it up dude :) In terms of what I want to see.. is laying down that clear with the best gun and premium clear available. Whether it be Devilbiss/Sata, BASF/PPG/DuPont. Its definitely interesting to see how cheaper guns/products perform, but for me (other viewers may not agree, and thats ok we all have a different outlook), I want to see the top end and how to use those products to their fullest. The best gun, is the best gun regardless of price. And an honorable mention to any guns that come close to matching them at a cheaper price bracket (or not).

Nice review, yes Satas are pricey, currently I worked with jet 4000 rp and 3000 hvlp, but I'm very interested in minijet for frame painting. Because of the price I'm not gonna get this gun, probably gonna go for Star mini spray gun for rare use. Thanks for making these videos, your opinion and thoughts help to make my decisions.

Im shoting waterborne lacquer. I need a 1.8 or so nozzle and a HVLP air cap. Can you switch GPi and GTi air caps? Neither gun is set up exactly for what im looking for. If I can mix and match that would be awesome. Keep up the good videos and gun reveiws.

You mentioned in this and also newer videos the high price of Sata gear. I think this is mainly because of import taxes, here in Europe Sata is actually cheaper as Devillbiss, Sata is Germann and Devillbiss is American. For my 1:14 scale model trucks I am debating the Sata Minijet, the Devillbiss ProLiteS and the Iwata LPH80. The LPH80 has the lowest air consumption and smallest spray pattern, but is also very small and I have big hands. The Sata uses the most air and the side knob is in the way and resetting according to some. The Devillbiss seems the in between option. Which one is best for this and do I go for regular or HVLP? I want the 0,8mm nozzle for this. Thanks and keep up the nice videos.

Here in Europe you can find them in Germany for €230,- which is around 360AU$, cheaper than the Devilbiss SriPro which is very decent imho. By the way, did you keep spraying at 2.5 bar? I only use ms clears and find 2.5 too much. I use 2.2 for clears and 1.8 for base.

Amazing video and great knowledge as always man !!! this video actually made me buy one of those Sata minijets myself and I’m an iwata guy . The first job I did with the Sata minijet I made 10 runs 😅😅😅. It’s totally different world Bt it’s a super nice gun I do a lots of bikes and small parts so for me it’s beneficial getting in tight spots and corners . I’m having hard time to find the sweet spot at the pressure setting . I’m just watching it again and seeing that you actually spraying clear at 36psi wooow that’s a lots of pressure . Is it because the small cap and small nozzle it requires little more pressure ? I did small piece with the mini jet and the clear finish was class Bt when I do little larger part and can’t really get the same results . I will bump the pressure some more next time and give it a Go . I though “RP” means reducer pressure and you suppose to spray at lower pressure around I wasn’t going passed 29psi . Also I love using the Luma III light and they don’t make one yet . It really sucks Bt I contacted lumaIII and they said they will be releasing the light for this gun very soon .

Yes, I use it for wheels but definitely wish I would've went with the 0.8 mm. Just have to get the fan were you want it and really play around with the air/fluid ratio and the speed and closeness in which you are spraying. I'm looking into a 0.8mm needle/air cap now, to me it makes a big difference when spraying smaller parts.

We have a wall regulator in the booth set to about 60 psi, that also runs my air fed respirator.

Have you used the blue-point spray guns from snapon? Or the 3m accuspray?

I had a blue point gun a long time ago, it was average and didn't stand the test of time but I have had a lot of questions about the accuspray and I'd like to do a review on them one day.
