This is adorable yet it makes me so sad :((((( And wow I just realized Sasuke used honorifics with Shisui, which he never uses with anyone post-massacre. That openness, respect, and implicit trust are another facet of his innocence that was taken away from him. He'd be such a different person if none of his trauma happened.

We see a glimpse of that in the early days of Team 7 when he thought more of them as family rather than his goal of revenge. I agree he's a genius among a clan of geniuses though! It's just tragic. I'll never be over it.

If I had to put an explanation for that -- it would be that he's going home to his family and hanging out with his brother who he loves. In Episode 128 of the original series (timestamp 16:56), Sasuke says that his dream lies in the past. That and being a child, I doubt it would cross his mind that he looks kind of goofy, especially around people he trusts.

Both he and Sasuke were very happy kids because they had good lives and people they loved but when that gets taken away by tragedy, everything changes. Granted, both characters evolve from different circumstances but that fact stays true.

@El Patrón This is true. It's in Itachi Shinden Midnight, I was literally reading it today. Also in that book its explained Shisui did not just jump off a cliff because he thought on a whim about dying over losing one eye, he was poisoned by one of Danzo's ANBU henchman. Whom Itachi kills at the end of the same novel I quote "for Shisui", he burns the man alive. So not so sure Itachi didn't experience hate, Shisui and jealousy were just immaturity normal for a 7 year old (with GREAT consequences might I add).

Sasuke wouldn't even be alive if he let his clan live, it was the only thing he could do to ensure Sasuke's survival,, if Danzo had of just accepted the fact that Shisui was going to do the right thing, all would have been good n the Uchiha Clan would be alive today, along with a few other characters probably.

That was one regret Itachi had, not telling Sasuke the truth, and keeping him at arms length. There's a chance it could have been avoided.

No matter how much screentime a character got but how good he/she is written makes the difference to be a beloved character. Shisui is a perfect example and no fan would deny that they miss shisui even if he hadnt much background story.

Honestly though, Shisui was ridiculously strong. I'm tempted to say right here at about age 15 he was stronger than Itachi at his time of death (considering disease and all), since while poisoned, after exhausted from battling for hours and lacking an eye he managed to summon the susanoo (plus had it do the cool ray jutsu thing it did) and he would have been ready to go on for longer if Itachi hadn't come in to rescue him. It's like 🤔 Jeez. It makes you wonder how great his power could have been at its peak with him.fully rested and charged. Far greater than any of us could even imagine.

Shisui and Itachi could’ve been the ultimate duo, even better than Sasuke and Naruto imo 😭😭😭

Nah, Itachi inherited those marks from his father. It’s genetic.

This killed me so much that Itachi and Shisui couldn’t achieve what they wanted. Their bond was beautiful and they were my favorite characters
