There's often "Art queens". Milk, Utica, Yvie, etc. The Art queens are always risky but dangerous because you don't if their big swings are gonna blow up in their face, or catch a crit role and blow everyone else out of the water no matter what they do. Sasha was precise all season, but her big swing here won her the season. I don't think anyone could have beaten that lip sync; it was a piece of live performance art.

@@kirsteinypon2328 Some fans just take things too far! I've heard queens speak on how sometimes fans will do or say something they think is a joke based on the show but can be hurtful.
This was my first season of Rupaul's Dragrace I watched and the moment Sasha and Peppermint walked in I immediately aaid to myself that I am supporting them all the way. When the finale came I was astounded that both my queens made it and it was amazing seeing them lip sync against one another! Both of them have such vastly diff styles and I really enjoyed watching it!
No matter how often I watch this 😮 I cry every time! The rose petals are just the tip of the iceberg, it's Sasha being so intense with her mimic... I'm sure if we had seen her perform lipsyncs for your life during the season this wouldn't have been such an impact, but this way ❤ well deserved win
And it is moments like these that really put the spotlight on why we all love Michelle so much and it is so purely encapsulated in the statement. How did not one rose pedal fall out.
I honestly cried at this one. They're such sweeties to each other, both some of the best, but the emotion Sasha was able to convey in that reveal UGH.
i went to see sasha velour on tour last year and she recreated this scene and it was INSAAAANE, i can’t believe after having seen it so many times it was still hitting the spot
That dress is gorgeous too. Everything Sasha wears is an original.

I loved the scene, and both queens. But in the drag race all stars you hear more about how shea felt after that and it is really just sad, there were in even people who would go to her and throw red rose petals at shea almost as if they were mocking her loss. Im glad that sasha won that, and im also glad that shea won drag race all stars. They both are so wonderful and entertaining to watch to the fact that in the end they both won, which makes me really happy :)

Why is Michelle using the thousand-yard stare while she's telling this story? I love her
THIS PERFORMANCE. I still get goosebumps just thinking about it.❤
It’s crazy how one moment can have many different perspectives. to Sasha that was one of the most defining moments of her career. But for Shea that was one of the most devastating moments of her career. People would come up to her after that and lift their caps with rose petals falling out.
I love Michele even more for this. You can tell she really loves the artistry of Drag 😍
Me and my mom were gagged when that happened
I think it's important to remember that the audience and viewers at this point were completely bought into the STORY behind the symbology of love in the rose petals for Sachas mothers cancer diagnosis. It was truely an artist story moment that basically summed up the whole season in one moment. No one stood a chance.
This moment will never be topped for me. So simple yet SO impactful. Now everyone feels the need to do some huge reveal and it frequently becomes a bit of a mess...

Omg this was the moment of all moments. Love me some Sasha!!!! Love Shea Coulee too but Sasha just had this artsy vibe and even her verse was better in the final song they did
IT WAS A HIDING PLACE!!!
Sasha killed it! It was new, inventive, emotional, glamorous, and iconic. I don’t remember or know the other performer.
I don't watch RuPaul drag race but I know about this historic moment
There's often "Art queens". Milk, Utica, Yvie, etc. The Art queens are always risky but dangerous because you don't if their big swings are gonna blow up in their face, or catch a crit role and blow everyone else out of the water no matter what they do. Sasha was precise all season, but her big swing here won her the season. I don't think anyone could have beaten that lip sync; it was a piece of live performance art.
Michelle should narrate children's story books
I’ll never get over Aja’s reaction to the wig reveal in the zoom out shot 😂
I remember writing to my best friend the first time I saw this telling him I felt SO ridiculous and corny for crying because of a drag race performance lmfao, I was in complete awe
Shea really thought she was going to be the Crowned Queen of Season 9 with a twirl or two. I will never forget this magical moment 😭
