Sasa Kalajdzic: False Start | A Wolves Studios documentary | Part One: The Injury
Спорт
When Sasa Kalajdzic signed for Wolves at the end of August 2022, there was an excitement at the club to see their new man in action.
Just three days later, Sasa made his Wolves debut against Southampton, but it would last just 45 minutes. An ACL injury sustained just before the break would end the Austrian striker’s season, but Wolves Studios’ cameras were on hand to capture his recovery, following him as he underwent surgery in London and settled into life in England.
Check out the first episode of Sasa Kalajdzic: False Start now.
Part one focuses on the immediate aftermath of Sasa's injury, the highs and lows of that first week and the emotional effect on Sasa as he prepares for surgery.
Future episodes will explore Sasa Kalajdzic's life off the pitch during the year, adjusting to a new culture in England, his support network and his preparations to start again in the Premier League.

I loved Sasa when he was playing for the VfB Stuttgart in Germany. I wish him all the best for his recovery. He is such a nice guy and an awesome kicker.

Here after his game winning header against Everton clap. 👏 to the man
What a good video. Let's hope Sasa is fully recovered and playing soon. If anyone deserves success, he does.
Will be like a new signing if he can remain fit . Met him and he seems a real nice bloke.. All the best for the future Sasa /\_/\
Hope he can recover and help the team get goals

What a lovely couple. I wish him all tbe best for the rest of his career, maybe nice guys do win...eventually.
I truly hope he can remain healthy and most importantly happy. Look forward to seeing him on the pitch for 40 plus games this season. Also, props to him for being able to stand being followed by a film crew immediately after injury and surgery.
Really good guy I wish him every success at Wolves

Well done! On so many levels. A great production, and an insight into the treatment. It is so good to see he got the best doctor. Not expense spared. Well done Wolves and Sasa, what a nice guy!
A tough start and a tougher road back. But I'm sure you have the mental strength and ability to come back stronger. Good luck for the new season sasa
Really genuine guy hope he can have a good season for us and gets some goals for us which we need so badly let’s go Sasa
Love you Sasa! Now you are really quick to your comeback. I wish you the best. Thank you for everything! Greetings from Stuttgart❤️⚪️🔴
Nobody deserves success more than this guy, proper team player and seems like lovely guy
Seems like a lovely bloke feel for him esp with such an innocuous challenge. Hope they bring him back slowly and give him the time he needs, good luck sasa
You’ll come back stronger big man. Wolves ay we!!!!!
Very humble guy hopefully he’s what we are missing but he can’t be rushed back allow him all the time he needs to recover and get as strong as possible
NANANANANANANA Sasa Kalajdzic, Kalajdzic! Sasa Kalajdzic! All the best for you this season big man, were all routing for you.
Really interesting Wolves. I wish all the luck in the world to Sasa, he deserves success.
Sasa everyone who has ever worn a Wolves shirt, scarf, , been to a game want nothing but the best for you. I think I can speak of us all when I wish you every success. Your girlfriend is amazing too. It might be a false start but the race is yet to be run
This guy deserves the world man. Such a nice guy! Hope he can carry us to success next season
This guy is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, guy in the game, and this video shows it; he’s so humble! Such an unfortunate injury on his debut :( After the battles faced over this past year and the hard work you’ve put in, Sasa you deserve a absolutely wonderful season, and we can’t wait to see you in action for us 👊🏼🐺🖤🧡
Most of all, @SasaKaIajdzic needs to be protected carefully because he is utterly crucial to our success now. Most of all we should protect his physical AND mental health. Look after him Wolves! Well done Sasa on such a positive attitude and desire to return from injuries.
Good luck sasa you deserve to be a successful player
What a nice guy!
What a genuinely nice guy. I hope the surgery and recovery have worked for both him and wolves. Have a great season my friend. 🐺🐺🐺🐺
More quality content, look forward to part 2
What a lovely guy, really hope he succeeds here, not just as a fan, but for him too. Let's go Sasa! 🧡🖤
Feel so sorry for Sasa. Hopefully this will be the last of his knee injuries, and he can now more on and have his career back on schedule.
Excellent video. Saša is clearly highly intelligent. Bruno's attitude is very laudable. How many coaches would openly lay the blame on themself in this way? For Saša and all of us, let's hope he makes an excellent recovery and can play at least 20 matches plus a season for us.
Lovely chap Sasa, really hope he comes out the other side stronger.
Bless you Sasa... Hope you have a wonderful season for us this season. We are all behind you.
I watched this man’s whole career, he will be amazing for you guys
Well done old son and well done to your girl friend with all the support she gave to you.All the best for the future.👍👍
I can’t wait to see Sasa play this season!
Greetings from Stuttgart ❤ Stay strong Sasa and all the best for the comming season with the Wolves 💯💪🙏
We still love you so much #VfB
Such a great guy. I really hope he goes from strength to strength now.
Thanks so much for sharing Sasa’s story. Gutted for him only playing one half of a game last season. But so happy for him coming through this. Can’t wait to see him on the pitch next season.
Lets hope he gets back to his toplevel like back in stuttgart. For Wolves and even more for austria, we need him as a 9 in euros next year.
Yet another lovely chap (and his partner). Best of luck this season. Thanks again to the excellent Wolves team for providing such excellent narrative.
Guade Besserung und kum stoak zruck! Wir brauchn di Sasa! LG aus Österreich
what a guy. great mini doc and super insightful and raw, well done all!
Every video so far he's come across as a top guy. Really hope he can stay fit as looks a good player.
We all love you sasa
Wow made me cry too, we expect so much from players, yes it’s a injury, let’s get behind him , so he can do. What he does best ….scores goals. First to get he’s medicine will be shitty/scum. Man united…
Let’s hope Sasa can make a difference for us but first of all for himself the best of luck. He seems an extremely nice guy and I saw him in the Wolves shop late in June when he was picking some things up before catching a flight probably to home.
Bloke deserves a great season in 2023/4
I can't wait to see him play.
Good luck for the new season Sasha🟠⚫️🙏
Sasa, ich wünsche dir eine erfolgreiche Saison und ein baldiges Comeback im Team. Greetings from Vienna - Gerhard
Love these doc style videos
great documentary - very respectful and close up on the other hand.
We’ll see about 25 goals next season from him and Cunha next season IF they both are fully fit and play maximum minutes, no doubt, they’re both high quality, they have the ability to finish, and there’s two of them! Praying for a good season but it won’t be so easy
Wish you all the best Sasa. Love from India ❤️❤️❤️
An excellent documentary, come on Sasa Kalajdzic. What a top man!
So sad man, not only for him and his family but the club also. This man deserves success more than any footballer on the planet.
What a great video little video, very heart warming. Now I desperately want Sasa to do well 😂
I played with Saša in my youth in Austria for many years together i guess 9-13 and it doesnt matter how bad his injuries have been. He came back! Always. Good luck to you my friend. 🐺🧡
Saša volimo te💙
If Wolves played half as well, as the vid team make films, we would win the Champions League! Really hoping that he gets a good season in. Seems a genuine talent and can offer us something different.
You can tell by his attitude this will make him stronger! Carnt wait to see him in action
All the best for this season Sasa, hope you have a great start!⚽️🐺
You're part of the pack Sasa and once a Wolf, always a Wolf, Come on Sasa!!!
He damaged his acl twice and is so calm about it I did the cartlidge in my knee and panicked when I heard a pop
Who's here after he scored against everton to win us the game🧡🖤
Here after he scored against Everton. You deserve it.
Great production I would love to see these behind the scenes from more teams. Wish him well
Such a good guy. We need him at the Euros. He deserves the best. He's just such a happy person. 🇦🇹
AMAZING!!
Everyone out looking for a number 9. We have one. I know you are going to be great for us when fit.
Good Luck Sasa from Austria! This season is your season!
Ok Bruno was under pressure for a striker to score but he shouldn’t have made the decision to play Sasa. For the new season Sasa Kalajdzic is going to be great and just what we need at Wolves. He seems like a hardworking and genuine person and l am sure he`s going to give premiership defenders a huge headache. I hope he scores lots of goals, hes going to be a key player along with Fabio, Cunha and Nunes.
It's easy with hindsight, but it was a unnecessary risk to start him without any proper training sessions, and of course unfortunate he tried to run it off and probably did further damage. I hope Saša makes an amazing recovery, both mentally and physically, he seems such a decent, likeable man. Also that Lorena's support gets its just reward.
Wir brauchen dich bei der EM 2024 🇦🇹❤️
Sucks seeing him going down again 😔
Sasa Love ❤
I hope he can bounce back from this, he seems like a great guy. Could be massive for us this season.

Look up his injury history. The things he's had to come back from at only 26 are astounding. He'll do it this time too.
Quality video, let's hope he's as big a nuisance as peter crouch was to prem defenders
Come on sasa Bang those goals in
Good luck Sasa hope you get to show your best for us ... At least we are the best team to come to for rehabilitating players ... we should change our name to ACL FC or ACL United 🧡🖤

Good luck to you feller.
I want to have that doctor working on my knee. I know just how frustrating it is for young Sasa, I have done the same injury twice to my right knee. Keep going Sasa, you can be a big success for us.

@robcraner3438 , I can't play football again. My surgery never really worked well. Watching this it sounds like it may be because the hospital told me for 6 years that there was nothing wrong with my knee

You can live with a torn acl, I do. I'm self employed and really couldn't afford the 12 months of disruption, so I looked into different ways of living with it... and the answer for me was rugby players. A lot of them have knackered acls , so they strengthen every part of the leg around that broken part and learn to "move" in a different way. I'll never play football again or do the run on a dance floor 😂 but I'm working, earning and just as kick ass as before !
@rwolves

@robertmcewan5024 , you can live with it to a certain point. They tried strengthening the muscles around it for me but it didn't work for me. I had to bite the bullet in the end and take the time off twice. Each time it was 6 weeks off work, 6 weeks light duties and then 6-9 months of physio
“You’ll never walk alone… I mean I can’t even walk!” aaaahaha Sasa you legend I had to laugh so hard! :) And Wolves if this is how you treat your “false start” players… kudos to this club!
Part 2 please
마음 고생도 심했겠다 이제라도 날아오르길
Shame he's not really featured much for us since his return and under O'Neil, he seems like a genuine, nice guy, one of those you would get along best with in the dressing room however it doesn't look like his future his with Wolves, maybe a return to Germany awaits in January if Wolves find a replacement in the window. I wonder why he O'Neil doesn't rate him for his system?
❤️🐺
Typically, just as he's ready to go we sell our best crosser of a ball for an absolute pittance. Only at Wolves.
@wolves when is the 2nd ep?
Ois guade Sasa! Wann kommt Part 2: "The ComeBack" and Part3 "Premiere League Winner"
Had him on career mode he was decent. Gets injured quite a bit tho
See you soon 🔜
